another big lie, that #Bill5 will create jobs for #1stNations in the #ringoffire. New mines are mostly automated. Google "RioTinto Australia 5G" if you want examples. they're even starting to automate the oil sands in AB. #cdnpoli

and never forget none of this would be an issue if the OPP didn't protect the children of politicians from the law. Both Ford brothers could have been charged, were not. They serve and protect us only enough to keep their game going.

it's an affordability issue rather than supply. Ban airbnb and regulate corporations than buy up housing stock for rentals. There is no market forces here, what are you going to do? Refuse your business and live in a park? or the most dangerous area?

i think you're misreading it. Trump is suggesting the Federalist Society should buy his shit coin. A lot of it, and he might change his mind

And USAID cuts reported to have resulted in 300,000 deaths already. The political and corporate class are soulless ghouls

i'm currently travelling in the EU. You should see the coverage of Gaza on TV. What Canadian media is showing is dramatically filtered by comparison. So yes more experts but also more independence from corporate interests

time to play the clip of Trudeau calling himself a proud zionist. Proof the ICC was created to keep the global south inline is our leaders who supported and even armed Israel to commit this genocide walk free.

when the full extent of the crimes against humanity are revealed in Palestine it will set the Jewish cause back generations. People are generally simple black/white hat animals. There will be a lot of hate.

It’s a payoff so they don’t trigger a leadership review, yet all the #cbc #power&politics discusses is the delay in the Carney budget #cdnpoli

any missiles shot down coming from over the polar region mean their being blown up over Canada. But why this is all BS is if we reach the point of nuclear war, the planet will be dead anyway. Will also force new WMD, such as biological weapons which can’t be stopped.

the USA put backdoors in first hard drives when they were made in the USA. A Swiss company that sold telecom gear to Iran was a CIA front. Probably all the 5G networks have kill switches. If it's at the chip level it can't be detected

yes but i'm cynical enough about politics to wonder about the timing of the release of the news to blunt a terribly unflattering book.

I’ve seen two dogs running down 60 mph highways after jumping out of car windows when the cars briefly slowed down because of excessive traffic. And if if have a dog on your lap and get in a collision that sets the airbag off, you’re going to be picking it’s entrails out of your few remaining teeth

5G networks in mines being sold as safety, but I actually heard a mining exec say “it’s going to be a lot safer because we’re going to get rid of the miners” and then he laughed. Politicians claiming good jobs in remote areas is complete BS.
comment in response to

Actually already happened in the tar sands as the route is fixed. Rio Tinto in Australia has automated mining trains. The massive capital costs & ability to control all variables makes it viable. Use in under ground mining much harder as it’s a harsh environment. But they are trying.

The ladder of accountability in the private sector stops at the first rung. FYI, I managed a capital envelope of 32-50M/yr, the smallest in the company. I’m aware of several projects that blew >200M but nothing happened as too many execs implicated. But cheat on your expenses and you’re fired.

a middle class terrified of holding onto their status & privileges know what Trump is and back him as the SoB who will do the dirty work for them. This is the lion our lizard brain is focused on, failing liberties is the group of lions beyond the hill our primitive brain ignores. #uspoli

always wondered why when the Govt bails out companies like GM the $ is a gift, rather than say stock which is held by a crown corp. And any crown corp that is valuable gets sold off. Private companies are not run better than the civil service, they are just better at hiding scandal & grift.

the really big lie is the infrastructure to support driverless trucks costs $$$ so they're getting us to pay for it, being sold as self driving cars. I left the job rather than be involved in this. When they unemploy the truck drivers i wonder which immigrants Facebook will blame.

my last employer (telco) started laying the foundations for AI about 5 yrs ago. Every quarter now they let employees go. Digital businesses are easier to do, but also typically better paid jobs. Industry really wants to automate the supply chain from warehouse to delivery.
comment in response to
post
but AI can increase profitability as you can shed employees, your largest fixed cost. "productivity " is a smokescreen. It's about shedding workers.

exactly. you have the ability to withhold your business and go live in the most dangerous part of the city or very far from your work. the supply & demand argument of capitalism is complete BS related to essential services.
comment in response to

there is a common thread. corporate capitalism has created a wealth inequality thats reached the point of breaking families, after a cycle of traditional parties offer performative change, it becomes fuck it, burn it all down. we have no future so you won't either.
comment in response to
post
it's a wealth inequality issue, not a supply issue. for starters, outlaw airbnb and heavily tax multiple properties

Good article. The other thing about their embassy. It used to be a lovely green space I used frequently. One summer they even put up a giant screen to show movies at night. A giant concrete behemoth crashing down on public lands used for common good. Very on brand USA

Ukraine should invent some fictional honour that comes with a title, huge medal and an awards ceremony, and make Trump the 1st recipient. And rename a front line unit after him, The Trump Golden Wolves. Play to his enormous ego and stupidity.

name one Canadian politician ever charged with a crime in office. Italy is corrupt as fuck (i worked there), but judges go after politicians. Not in Canada. Never.
