I fear that was a giant smokescreen, the actual purpose of DOGE was to collect, and later collate, all the personal data of the people of the United States and possessions, for what use I can unfortunately imagine.... DOGE spelled backwards is E-GOD... Be afraid...be very afraid!

You can check whether your speedometer is compromised, by using the "Measured Miles" found on many interstates. They are marked by a small green sign, smaller then the mile markers. Start a stopwatch when you pass the first sign, then stop it when you cross the second sign.

Programs you used can be copied over as well, but because they distribute files in many places, it gets more complicated.

Only copy the files in your personal directory. That directory should have all of your personal information, documents you've written, files you've saved. profiles for outlook, firefox, etc, should all be available.

And, in many cases, these statues were created by the widows of soldiers lost in the war, who wanted widows benefits.

Hegseth's comment about "Now is when the bombs sill drop" reminds me of a pre-teen yelling to his parents "See What I Did?"

I remember the earlier time when this came up during the first administration, and there was a map showing the location of each of these monuments, and the date of it's installation. Fascinating that most came up in several waves, from 1890 to 1920.

Nowadays, you can create a low-power FM station for about $35.00 - called a Pi-Radio. Streaming is possible. With a bit of networking, we could create AVOA, the Alternate Voice of America!

It's more difficult, because there ARE parts of a functioning government. I'm getting the sense that the Judiciary are getting sick and tired of Trumps charades.

There is no doubt that there were many bad aspects of the bill. Many poison pills that will have to be attended to. But, in the end, the other choice, the only other choice, would be governmental shutdown..and I think leadership thought that a greater threat. Martial Law could easily follow!

Apple needed extra filename space for applications, while Linux (Unix) was extremely frugal, with awk, grep, head, tail, etc.

Apple was White collar, Ivy League smugness, the Porche 911 aficionado, the Blue Blood Brahmin. Linux was the True Nerds smugness, The HomeBrewers, the Renegades.. Very different!

It's quite interesting that this litter-box controversy was promoted early in the 2016 elections by Don Bulduc, who was a candidate challenging Maggie Hassan up here in New Hampshire.
