You can check whether your speedometer is compromised, by using the "Measured Miles" found on many interstates.

There is no doubt that there were many bad aspects of the bill. Many poison pills that will have to be attended to.
But, in the end, the other choice, the only other choice, would be governmental shutdown..and I think leadership thought that a greater threat. Martial Law could easily follow!
