@msnbc.com reporter at the 1:15 mark. “The chaos you’re seeing is not the result of peaceful protestors, it’s the result of actions of law enforcement, specifically the Los Angeles sheriff’s department.” #nokings

He will punish us because millions marched against him and so few showed up to his narcissist parade, you could hear the tanks squeaking. Once again crowd size will embarrass him. He’ll punish us and then he back down a little. Because he’s weak and unwell.

But the question remains! When will our lawmakers impeach him, once more and FOR ALL??

You can always count on The New York Times to minimize the scale and impact of protest. Yesterday's 2000+ No Kings actions smashed records for the most demonstrations in a single day. So the Times decided to publish a horseshit map of just a handful of "confirmed locations." We're not fooled.

Follow the dirty money

Amazing, protesters in San Francisco formed a human banner at Ocean Beach during the "No Kings" protests against the orange felon. Love it. 💙👊

The Minnesota assassinations, the attempted arson at Governor Shapiro's home, and the violent arrest of Senator Padilla are all straight out of the Jim Crow terrorism playbook. Same goes with cops aiming for journalists covering the ICE protests. None of these are new tactics, just a new iteration.

BREAKING: Just spoke with one of the lead organizers of the No Kings Day protests. The final number of protests is 2,169 in 20 countries!

We need leadership. We need bold fighters willing to step up to fascism using every legal lever at their disposal. So many establishment figured have been cowardly and complicit assuming it wouldn't come for them. They were fine throwing the rest of us under the bus. Do you feel safe now?

Brevard County Sheriff Sheriff Wayne Ivey: "If you throw a brick, a firebomb, or point a gun at one of our deputies, we will be notifying your family where to collect your remains at, because we will kill you graveyard dead."

I’m praying for Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband’s family, and for Sen. John Hoffman and his wife’s recovery this morning. I’m praying for everyone in Minnesota. Praying for our country. This is on all of us.

Dating myself, but keep thinking there’s a Kent State feeling in the air—this shit is really real and we’re finally on our own. And brooding question is: what can possibly wind it back? What keeps the fires from raging all summer and longer?

A Democratic Mayor arrested. A Democratic Congresswoman indicted. A Democratic Senator tackled and detained. A Democratic State Representative killed. A Democratic State Representative in critical condition. We can all see where this is going.

One of my many fears is that the next Democratic president will spend too much time talking about "the importance of not dwelling on the past" instead of prosecuting every single one of the people responsible for this nightmare.

Somehow, this makes me think of the movie Red Dawn. Except here, it's our military on American streets.

It's a truly jarring split screen that Kristi Noem's goons attacking Sen Padilla happened at almost the exact same time as 16 Dem senators crossed lines to vote with the GOP to invoke cloture on the crypto bill, forfeiting any leverage. Dems need to act like an opposition.

🚨 Iran: Mohammad Bakari, Chief of the Iranian General Staff reportedly killed in the Israeli precision strike on Tehran. Iran may be on the brink of developing its first nuclear weapon, and Israel will likely do everything possible to prevent that.

This is not hard. Every Republican member of Congress should join Democrats in condemning this administration’s vicious arrest of Sen Padilla. “A Republic if you can keep it” is now.

"darth i heard u peed in the squad car after getting arrested to put the car out of commission" "...yes exactly"

Lynch: "Deploying the military against a civilian population is wrong. And if we don't step up, this will continue. If we don't step up & declare what is right under our Constitution, then other cities, other citizens will meet this same fate..Trump is a wannabe gangster..I'm fighting today's Nazis"

This is the term we must use now, yes.

BREAKING: Judge Breyer orders Trump to return control of the National Guard back to California, saying the call-up was illegal. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

Senator Padilla spoke moments AFTER Kristi Noem outrageously stated she intended to “liberate” the City of Los Angeles from its democratically-elected mayor and governor. He had every right to confront her about her incendiary, hateful, and deeply stupid statement.

Don't let them lie to you about Senator Padilla. DHS is claiming the agents DID NOT KNOW he was a senator. He CLEARLY says (BEFORE he is tackled and cuffed) "I am Senator Alex Padilla and I have a question for the secretary."

Sen Cory Booker is already on the Senate floor speaking out. He’s right: this isn’t an isolated incident—it’s a pattern of abuse by the Trump regime targeting those who dare to hold them accountable & law enforcement engaged in racial profiling. 🤬🤬🤬 @booker.senate.gov

I’m calling for the censure of House Speaker Mike Johnson for two things: condoning the assault on a sitting Senator and for being a total douche.

AND, their deployments are broken up into 29 day blocks so DoD doesn't have to pay them active duty benefits INCLUDING no allowance for housing.

They have literally already indicted a member of Congress for daring to try to inspect a private prison where they are detaining kidnapped migrants. She was shoved while trying to protect an elder member of congress, yet it is Rep. LaMonica McIver who is being charged with assault.

"How could you say that you did not know who he was?" L.A. Mayor Karen Bass speaks out on the forced removal of California Sen. Alex Padilla from a DHS press conference. DHS claimed the senator "interrupted a live press conference without identifying himself."

Rather than apologizing and trying to resolve a problem she helped create, Kristi Noem is now lying about what happened and making it worse. This is unacceptable behavior from a Cabinet official. Noem clearly does not have the credibility or integrity to continue serving.

Right fucking now. If a Republican Senator had been treated like this, the Democratic president would already have been impeached.

Are we really fucking doing this. Had nothing happened to Senator Padilla at all, what she was describing is a federal takeover of a major city by military force with no specified end-date, with no legal authority. Do not let the fascists talk their way out of that.

Agree on both points. 1) States control most criminal prosecutions. Calif state charges for physical assault OF A US SENATOR in state's biggest city. 2) Dems in US Senate need to stand up on this one. This didn't happen even in days Faubus/Wallace/Maddox/Bull Conner resisted fed authority in 60s

Which would you describe as “actions,” trying to ask a question, or being wrestled to the floor and cuffed?

This is the price of questioning a fascist regime.

🚨 Secretary Noem basically said that her agency is now dedicated to forcible regime change…in American cities and states. There 👏🏽 is 👏🏽 a 👏🏽 name 👏🏽 for 👏🏽 this

Another video of Senator Padilla’s violent arrest at DHS Sec Noem’s press conference in LA. You can see him thrown to the ground by FBI agents and handcuffed. (video shared by Padilla’s staff with Elex Michaelson of Fox LA and posted on X)

We can't let this story die. This is seriously crazy.

Not loving the Iran attack rumors tbh.

BREAKING : I’m hearing from sources that an attack on Iran may be imminent. Stay tuned. More to come.

The head of the UKs Equality and Human Rights Commission just said that the European Convention on Human Rights Article 8 right to privacy doesn't apply to trans people. Article 8 is why the UK was forced to create the gender recognition act by the European Court of human Rights in the first place.
