Same as it ever was: Wired always hyped the techno-ocracy in the form of free advertising. From 1997:

What are the crystals made of? That looks incredibly dense if it is being moved that way...

Question: do you use the EU recall list as a source of potential US recalls? It is a great resource, especially for the large volume e-commerce sector.

Turnabout is fair play. How many people have experienced sending hundreds of resumes of nary a response? And if there is a screening call with HR, absolutely no follow-up about status? Or when the offer comes, the terms or salary don't match what was discussed?

Maybe the flood of non-NRTL power adapters and charge adapters will finally slow down...

I would be interested if any professors can share their thoughts on students with an International Baccalaureate background, as opposed to AP. I think that pre-college program allows for significantly more freedom in composition than AP.

Territorial Seed is pretty good, and local to the PNW.

Well...it's all been downhill since XP, so no wonder.

You are superlative not superfluous, informative not idiotic.
Verbose...But not as loquacious as your cousin the OED...

Yup...whole industry devoted to it. It is a standard practice for insurance, and helps smooth out consumer rates...when paired with good regulation.
Munich Re, Berkshire Hathaway, Lloyd's, ACA and many others provide it.
Would like to know if it is true reinsurance or just stop loss...

Should be noted that experimental planes don't need the GAMI STC...
I suspect experimental planes and training fleets will be the early adopters. Should be interesting to see the results from those populations.

Well...You can always try your hand at composting. Plenty of neat techniques (even some indoor low odor ones) that create great nutrient-rich material you can give to the gardeners....

Now what is the city and FSDO going to say about the probable upcoming special request to take off from said closed runway?

Well, congress makes the laws...They have taken a decidedly different approach than say the EU with the GPSR, RoHS and REACH.

Do they actually survey their market? How many people want a thinner phone that they will slap on a case anyway? Is a folder actually desired? How many people want one with a more easily replaced battery?

Would they block a playlist called "Songs to play when denying children cancer meds"?
It's always interesting how a single death gets a more acute response than many deaths.

Related: can the EC provide guidance on the GPSR with respect to micro producers? Artists and craft people don't have the resources of a Temu or Amazon to set up in-market representation. Many are fearing the EU may become a closed market depending on enforcement approaches.

I think military leaders who study history should not be surprised at the speed of collapse of externally supported governments. Vietnam/US, Congo/Belgium, Afghanistan/US, Afghanistan/USSR, Georgia/USSR, maybe Iran/US, etc. But totalitarian leaders and generals are rarely students of history...

I think there is a massive amount of pent up rage at our system...And this outpouring is more like a collective catharsis than just glee at a murder. Everyone has been or knows someone who has been negatively impacted by health insurers in a major way. And there are few outlets for that frustration.

Might be fun to tie it into the rise of gilt edge books and take a look at the history. Even the rise and fall of deckled edges through time as paper changed as a commodity...

Well...I agree that consumers should not be consuming raw milk, but on the other hand, enforcement has been insanely draconian, with SWAT raids on producers. Entirely banning raw milk also means that most micro-scale cheese making is banned, further consolidating big ag.

Thanks for sharing. I also work around product safety/regulatory, and didn't think about the impact on small businesses. Hopefully there will be guidance on enforcement. But I'm glad they are trying something...The flood of unsafe products (esp. electronics) via Temu/Ali/amzn etc. is scary.

Nah, it freezes pretty well. Only issue is if the fat used for cooking separates, especially if you use a lighter fat. But just remix when thawed.

I do most of my professional work (product regulatory) in metric, and most of my hobby stuff (baking, electronics, home metrology lab) in metric as well. Oddly, it's driving where I am mentally still in traditional units.

I wish we could finally go full metric. This is how small dogs get lost in drifts...or how spacecraft crash.

A mirepoix base will freeze well. Then you have something to use whenever needed. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mirepoix
Just don't camp it in the fridge for days on end after making it. Use or freeze. The onions can get weird.
