Huh, thanks. Might check it out but to be fair, I have about a billion The Rest Is History pods left to wade through.

Is All The Presidents Lawyers still going? Or do they have a new one?

Meh. On Twitter a quick block trigger was almost mandatory for bigger accounts. I will give him grace on the @mtsw.bsky.social block and continue to follow and respect both of them.

I'm good with him getting the treatment that Jon Hamm got at the end of his Black Mirror episode

And if that seems same CEO then ran as a GOP or "indy" candidate the NYT would follow up with sycophantic "outsider" coverage of their "out-of-the-box" campaign.

My job means that I'm always on call for potential behavioral emergencies. Staff members at dozens if group homes might call me and I don't have all their numbers. The fact that I pick up almost every call means the scammers think I'm a mark. Hell, I'd kill for only 15 scam calls a week.

I play one round of golf per year, so I'm pretty excited to see that I have something in common with the pros.

The point in the game on a high humidity, sweltering day where you've used up the last dry spot on your shirt and from now on you have to wipe sweat off your brow/hands with an already sweaty item of clothing.

In retrospect "arrest him? Too lenient. Vigilante abuse is what he deserves" is pretty fucking dark.

Nice. Found one for if it rains and there's no little league (likely) and a backup for if we get the game in.

I've been an Athletic subscriber since well before it was bought by NYT.

I dont know why, but this was the last straw Canceled my NYT puzzle subscription. A daily pleasure but I'm fully aware that the puzzles subsidize this paper and its swing to become Fox News lite Deciding on whether to do the same for The Athletic but don't want to hurt those good journos

I cannot see this man's name without picturing The Man In The Stairs and having that whole song stuck in my head for a minimum of 8 hours.

Occam's razor here suggests Grampa Donnie just slept through the entire thing. "It's tough, I don't know" is his go to vamp when he encounters one of the topics he has zero insight into (which is like 95% of all things)

Not saying you are one of those people, just that that was maybe the only belittling I saw in that article.
comment in response to post
Wow, I didn't get that at all. Though if you're one of the people who really thought "it's misogynistic for AOC to say 'the girls are fighting'" I can understand if you felt condescension.

Facebook's only remaining use is to find out if the Ultimate Frisbee pickup game is still happening even though it's slightly raining.

The @alexkirshner.com article isn't hating on Bluesky at all. It's quite fond of it. They're just hoping for more varied content (not "oh escape your liberal bubble" varied but "more Pittsburgh Pirates shit talk please" varied)

I just read the @alexkirshner.com article. It's not hating on Bluesky at all. It's quite fond of it. I, too am hoping to get more varied interest on here. My JetsTwitter follows have not come over at all yet, ditto a lot of my parenting content. Here's hoping.

What do you suppose the % of brain rotted NewsMax Maga crowd is? Add 5% onto that and that's his floor. Even if he were to start slicing in half one puppy per day, live in the Rose Garden.
