We love to see it.

I cannot stress enough how much of a Def Con 1 moment this is. Federal judges fear that the President of the United States will stand down security for judges in retaliation for adverse decisions. This is such a huge story.

Work requirements hurt poor people AND are a waste of money. Arkansas spent $26 million on administrative costs for work requirements — and saw no increase in employment. Georgia’s program cost $40 million in one year — 80% of that went to administrative and consulting costs.

Hard to believe they’re talking about the same event.

Scores of staffers at the White House National Security Council have been abruptly dismissed as part of a sweeping overhaul that slashes the staff from over 300 to just 50. The move shifts the NSC’s role from policymaking to simply carrying out the president’s directives.

The U.S. ambassador to Ukraine Brinks, who just resigned, goes nuclear on President Trump Brinks: I was U.S. ambassador to Ukraine. I resigned because of Trump's foreign policy: to put pressure on the victim, Ukraine, rather than on the aggressor, Russia. 1/

Sure, let’s dissect the mental and physical acuity of the former president who sought to make lives in America better while minimizing the reality of a deranged arsonist dismantling the country we’ve known and loved. What a failure to meet this moment.

THREAD: We recently heard that the Trump administration was leaning on the government of Gambia to help Elon Musk. For weeks, our team made phone calls, wrote letters and knocked on folks’ doors to try to confirm it. But we were stuck. So our reporters got on a plane to Banjul. 1/

41 days since Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a lawful US resident from El Salvador, was mistakenly deported to a foreign prison in El Salvador. Despite no due process and SCOTUS order to return him to US. @msnbc.com needs a DAYS INCARCERATED counter so people don't forget. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deporta...

I don’t want to read about a former President’s mental decline because a journalist got a book deal. I want to read a report about the current President’s mental decline by a journalist brave enough to speak out now.

Justice Jackson nails where we are right now: “Your argument turns our justice system into a catch me if you can kind of regime from the standpoint of the Executive where everybody has to have a lawyer and file a lawsuit in order for the government to stop violating people’s rights.” 🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯

64% of adults with Medicaid already work full or part time, 12% care for dependents, 10% disabled or in poor health, 7% attending school. Just 8% were not working or unable to find work. Federal data. @muellershewrote.com @hcrichardson.bsky.social www.commonwealthfund.org/publications...

I know that we’ve had a month worth of further constitutional crises but Kilmar Abrego Garcia is still in custody in El Salvador and that central crisis is a continuing fact.

There are two ways a US President can win business for the US economy. The first is by establishing rules that favor competition and create an open, productive playing field for everyone. The second is by brokering corrupt deals for big companies that court his personal favor.

Helping the U.S. gets you banned, being white gets you a welcome mat. Got it.

Yup. That’s the one.

WATCH: @aoc.bsky.social explains how the Republican bill will: - Gut Medicaid - Increase premiums for private health insurance - Force rural hospitals to close All to give a giant tax handout to billionaires.

Shout out to @amtrak.com for great customer service last night in Baltimore in the wake of some extraordinary difficult circumstances.

Trump reaches a “deal” to pause the tariffs he imposed on China. I guess all those manufacturing jobs aren’t coming here now, the tariffs won’t replace income taxes, and all the other amazing things they were supposed to do for us are over. So much for Liberation Day.

it’s absolutely intentional. federal employment was one of the largest drivers of the growing black middle class, especially post jim crow

Floridians were preparing new initiatives on behalf of Medicaid expansion, abortion rights, and other issues on the ballot. But a new law makes these efforts a lot tougher, threatening volunteers with investigations and criminal punishment. boltsmag.org/florida...

Some federal employees have been identified after Attorney General Pam Bondi began seeking records and testimony from journalists.

I just really need everybody to understand that everything that’s happening in and to the global economy now (and all the businesses and people in it) is the entirely predictable result of the intentional decisions of one guy who doesn’t understand how the global economy works.

Brilliant!

Jeffries: "What Republicans have decided to spend this entire legislative day doing is debate a bill to rename the Gulf of Mexico. Now, in some ways I guess the American people can be thankful, because this week what Rs were going to try was visit upon the people the largest Medicaid cut in history"

“If the large increases in tariffs that have been announced are sustained, they’re likely to generate a rise in inflation, a slowdown in economic growth, and an increase in unemployment,” the Federal Reserve chair said. This is exactly what Trump doesn’t want the American public to hear.

I won’t be impressed by AI until it figures out how to stop unpaid toll text messages.

Could he be any more Marie Antoinette?

Well said.

What’s up with the @nytimes.com app??? It’s like they’re hiding half the paper.

The lead story on the NPR radio news update today was the 2027 NFL draft in DC. I love football. But that should NOT be the lead when the POTUS has stated unequivocally that he does not accept the US Constitution. This was NPR news FTLOG!!! It’s no freaking wonder that the country is in this state.

The Trump budget in one chart: Cut programs that help families and make America a leader of the world, pour money into kidnapping grad students and deporting toddlers.

The Republicans in Congress could remove Donald Trump any minute they wanted to. Blame them. Tell them to get rid of him. There is no daylight between the Republican Party and Donald Trump.

Just so we’re clear… The President, who takes an oath to defend the Constitution, specifically said on TV this morning that he is in unfamiliar with the 5th Amendment right to due process.

This is about all of us. Never forget that.

The ~700k people of DC: —Pay more fed tax per capita than people of any state; —Are more numerous than pop of WY or VT; —Have zero votes in US House or Senate; —Now being told by House GOP that we can't spend *OUR OWN* tax money, which we've already paid Cut the BS Thanks @vanhollen.senate.gov

I could be wrong about this but I really think most Americans do not want to be forced to “do their own research” about food & drug & product safety and would rather that the government agencies that have been sorting that all out for them for decades not be obliterated in the name of “efficiency.”

We have seen who Donald Trump is in his first 100 days. In these next 100 hundred days, may we show up; stand up; speak up and show our nation who we are. We the people, have the power to stop the abuses of this administration. youtube.com/shorts/tDBAn...
