I grew up in GR but spent years in the south and DC, now live in GR. Fwiw imo there’s no way it blows up here as fast as it did in FL, TX, GA, etc. The cloudy winter weather is a huge hurdle for people I think. It’s gotten pricier (and nicer) than the 2000s but not as bad as anywhere else I’ve lived

Yeah you’re right. I read it’s twice the height of Everest, but so wide that you might not even notice that you’re climbing it til you got to the steeper middle part
