It is true. Everybody's quoting that 3.5% figure but that is to bring down an already existing regime. Non-violence has never stopped the rise of an oppressive government.

I understand that reasoning. The movement maintains legitimacy as long as nonviolence is a central tenant.
But we must be ready, willing and able to respond. Because the violence is here. It's already in the streets. And as you note, it's going to get worse.
I, for one, won't go down easy.
