So, you've forgotten about 9/11 so soon?...or are you just a liar by trade?

Obama wasn't the great healer that many people had hoped. He spoke down party lines, and left 1/2 of the country out of all his conversations...and you didn't care. So why care now?...no really, what changed you?

First, Democrats would call his words insincere and fake, and do nothing but use that moment to attack Trump...so from his viewpoint, it is a waste of time...
comment in response to post
Funny...liberals remarking (belly-aching) that Trump can be influenced, and actually its not that hard. But not by any of them, because they've spent the last 10 years placing as much distance between them and Trump. Enjoy your self made isolation...

His voice is hoarse and he sounds like he has a cold...the rainy parade got him sick...at his age this requires bedrest. Bedrest at this very important time will no doubt have many calling for him transfer powers to the VP...

Yes Democrat voters...go get yourselves arrested while your leaders dare not...especially Newsom...if he gets arrested for obstructing justice, hell be forever barred for running for the Presidency...

Yeh...Hillary always kept Putin fat and happy...in fact its fair to say the US 'allowed' him to become one of the richest men in the world... Obama didn't have the fortitude to stand up the European bullies...they flattered him with the Nobel Prize...and they bought his favor...

So Khamenei is already enroute to Russia then...or is he already there?

Again...concerns with who?...every other Middle Eastern nation is quietly waiting on the sidelines...for Iran to fail...even Yemen has quit throwing rocks...

For selfish reasons, but it also works for the greater good of society.

Children are not the source of mental health issues...or hate. There is going to be a generation of elderly living alone and in need, with few willing to help. Having children so you would have someone there for in old age, was common...and yes, they taught them to be compassionate and helpful,

Rose colored glasses, but America is at war...and its not a cold war. Closing the border for security reasons is exactly what it means... Yes, good people are being barred from entering the country...but all countries close their borders during conflicts...or at least limit those who they trust.

Looking at the direction the US and Europe has taken in the last few months...Americans should be preparing for a rise in domestic terrorism...not by Americans per se, but enemy alien nationals who have taken advantage of the lax border situation. Most people prefer to go through life wearing those

So raising premiums will also result in local governments losing tax revenue...which effects infrastructure. The FEMA program is responsible for a lot more than flood insurance. Again, are you ready for a national emergency tax?
comment in response to post
The premiums paid now by millions of FEMA subscribers does not cover the costs. Raising premiums higher will result in fewer subscribers, and a loss of coverage, and eventually a loss of homes, that will never be rebuilt. Counties take in taxes on those homes and on that property.
comment in response to post
What do you really know of climate change in relation to FEMA? The agency isn't less safe...its underfunded! Its underfunded because the cost of repairing the damages of those emergencies is exceeding the budget. Are you ready for a national emergency tax?...if yes, raise your hand...
comment in response to post
FEMA's primary purpose is to allow & fund construction in America many floodplains. Those floodplains comprise many acres of land that get flooded every 100 years (OR SO!) Many people are willing to suffer the once in a lifetime flood event, and pay insurance premiums, if it means owning a home.

To be progressive, they are in fact more backwards than most...they cling to the past, and use it a cudgel to attack, vilify and inflict pain. People such as you should be shunned...you have been given many tools to better yourself, and instead choose the path of the very people

Blaming an entire 'sect' for 1 persons actions is 2 things... 1st its hateful...exactly like white person pointing out a failure of a person with dark skin and than accusing all people with dark skin as being possessing the same failed quality. 2nd it reminds that despite some people claiming

History?...I said typical... What this person did was atypical by every single measure... If killing people was typical, there wouldn't be laws against it... I'll get my education from more reliable sources...you fail...

Not 1 single comment asking why Zelensky's rating took a hit...instead just useless comparisons...

I'll repeat...a person capable of this level of violence typically isn't able to hide it for 57 years...there had to have been red flags...and something set him off, either a relationship issue or a change in his medications...
comment in response to post
Hard to believe a person capable of this level of violence, was able to hide it so well for 57 years... Something is not being said...like he was off his meds.

Other Islamic countries are actually helping Israel or staying neutral...North Korea will most likely show no interest in expending resources on Iran...

I'm not arguing against anything you have just said...but in a democratic society where parents vote...no mother is going to let someone else's child take funding from their own kids...they just are not...regardless of facts. And the poor has yet to become the majority voting block...

Unhappy parents who also happen to be voters...it took decades but the pendulum is swinging full on in the other direction...towards the people who actually pay taxes. Its not really that surprising...is it?

Charter schools didn't appear out of thin air... They are direct result of what I just outlined... Its been many years since I was in school, but the newer school for mainly the poor & immigrants received extra funding, while 'my' older school received less. That type of bias creates
comment in response to post
I hope you realize that the taxpayers who actually fund schools are going to want their money going to their students... You might be willing to pay for your child's education and others.... But when that other child is getting a better education than yours, you might (will) think differently.

See what happens when citizens are given too much power and control over their own communities... They always become unwelcoming and want others to leave. There has to be limits to what people are allowed to do...oh wait...those are called laws...yeh, visiting is not unlawful...yet.

The movie THX1138 made in the late 1960's portraying the dystopian future is one of the more accurate, IMO. The scene where Robert Duval is talking to a computers likeness of Jesus, and it is giving a compassionate responses, is spot on. AI Holographs will be here soon...

The US is slowly but surely chipping away at BRICS...After seeing Iran getting their butts handed to them, Putin called Trump...no doubt discussing the future of Russia... Reading Trumps tea leaves is actually pretty easy...Trump wants Russia to become part of 'his' alliance...but must leave BRICS.

The number of people actually getting deported vs the number of people waiting to replace them is still on the plus side...in fact the number of jobs themselves is rapidly shrinking due to advanced automation and AI, that is starting from the bottom going up.

Many Christian sects offer various interpretations, and Mormonism claims a new revelation via golden tablets. But they do not supersede the bible. I believe there is a modern replacement for Islam, that is widely rejected...

Believed they were saving the religion...and in a way they did, because the random finding of those scrolls reenforces many peoples faith. The over-arching story of Jesus...his birth, life and death virtually eliminates the possibility of a modern replacement of Christianity.

The New Testament writings were never written to sustain the the older writings but replace them...yes Jesus referred to the laws of Moses, but always offered an alternate/updated understanding... the Commandants were reduced to 2, etc. The people who wrote the Dead Sea Scrolls...

Based on love and acceptance...yet most Christians themselves will not accept those philosophies and often revert back to the old outdated philosophies that were shunned by Jesus himself... That is a sad commentary on human reasoning and logic...but we are what we are...
comment in response to post
Strangely enough each book of both the old & new testament of the Christian bible was written to replace old idea's with new ones. The central figure, Jesus clearly taught against many of the teachings of the Torah. And his disciples did their very best to get people to accept a new philosophy

difficult to do, as an atheist believing in the existence of God. It can be done, but the real world around them has to be reshaped to the place where they are forced to accept a new realty.

The Arab Spring didn't work in other more secular countries, so there is even less chance of it working in Iran... The country's political, religious and cultural epicenter is located in the almost demi-god figure known as the Ayatollah. The young people rebelling against that figure is as

Optimism is great...its drives people forward... Islam has chained them to the past...I'm not attacking the religion...only the hold it has on people giving up old ideas for new ones. Iran will not be a part of the future until it accepts modern philosophies.

But rather quasi-spiritual concepts... Heroes and villains will always exist...and without the 1 god and the 1 devil, people will revert back to polytheism intertwined with politics. The future without god is here and now...not what you expected???
