This focus on ethnicity of grooming gang members by politicians and the media is terrifying. The suggestion that victims could have been saved if the ethnicity of perpetrators had been recorded does not make any sense to me but it's being implied repeatedly now.

In my view, the EHRC backtracked on its interim guidance/update when giving evidence to the Women and Equalities Committee. I now consider it is unreasonable not to offer an apology or withdraw the guidance, and I will write to the EHRC again to pursue further legal action.
