My fellow #PAEMST honorees: the good people at the NSF want us to update our profiles by 6/30. Because reasons. As you update, wisely “Save” after completing each section / prompt. The prompts require thought and composition. But the page will log you out after a certain interval.

Hard to believe no one in the state had claimed this gem!

“Polaroid was the Apple Computer of the ’50s and ’60s.” From polarizers to the SX-70, and there was a whole lot in between. American Experience has answers. And I have questions. Mr. Polaroid [PBS American Experience] www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Mr-P...

As well as shining different coloured lasers on glow in the dark vinyl I thought it would be interesting to project a spectrum onto it. Thanks for @deanbaird.bsky.social for sparking the idea after suggesting the lasers. Here is the result: youtu.be/gIvT2Nx2dB8 #ITeachPhysics # SciTeachUK

1/7 💔 We are very disappointed to announce that on April 25, NSF terminated a $1.5M PhET grant – our Pathways to Open Source Ecosystems Phase II grant for advancing PhET’s SceneryStack project. Learn how this impacts our work and how you can help: bit.ly/PhETNSF2025

Oh this is good news. I knew immediately upon seeing a car with a touch screen for the first time that it was a mistake and exactly why. A whole lot of other people did, too. Nice to see manufacturers acknowledging it.

Am I reading my OED correctly? In British geometry, a trapezoid has no sides parallel? It’s bad enough I recently learned there’s an element the rest of the world knows as caesium.

This week's NOVA is more impactful than it is entertaining. If you think it might add to your curriculum, I recommend acting fast. I hope I am wrong to imagine this episode might be targeted for premature removal. Watch the episode; decide for yourself. www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Crit...
