If you're itching to try style queries in Firefox, you can now set the `layout.css.style-queries.enabled` flag to `true` in `about:config`.
I've used it without any issues to set different pseudo content values depending on a computed modulo value, but if you hit bugs, report them.

I am realising more and more just how privileged we truly are being involved in this industry. And CSS in particular has opened so many possibilities recently it just gets better and better. We have the most joyful job.

Approaching 65 here and 29 years in this weird and wonderful industry and will be forever grateful to you and people like you who have made it such a joy to work in. I am still installing Prism in personal projects!
Happy 20 years and congratulations on your new career path.

FrontPage 98 also had HTML includes. OK technically they were SSI (front page server extensions), but to the web designer they were a seamless way to include one HTML page in another giving us reusable content for things like headers and footers //cc @jakearchibald.com @chriscoyier.net

Ugh sorry I meant I would like counters to be treated as content so if I copy and paste numbered headings they copy and paste:

I would like ::marker to be valid numbering for headers. I prefer it to using ::before but the numbering still is not not consistently supported and doesn't copy and paste for example. Headings are often numbered in many applications e.g. Section 1.5.1 and I believe should follow heading hierarchies

Hehe yes July usually = January for me too but I'm getting 'new system' vibes.

You are right, it is for Directors. But from their explanation this will replace your personal government gateway where you declare dividends etc… for self assessment.
So I'm not going to transition until I've submitted this years just in case I get stuck with no account. They seem ill prepared.

So… just spoke with gov.uk and expressed concern that I do not want to risk failing to submit my self assessment due to conflicts between the old and new system.
I was advised 'if' your HMRC - Government Gateway - Personal account is still working to continue to use it for now.

'vibe coded' it to use CSS grid which I think makes it better for my requirements but no less daunting seeing my entire life squished.
