Testimony from a victim of the Witkoff Massacre. #FreePalestine #GazaHolocaust

Lots of things I like about freelancing, but having to explain that I don’t get a paycheque every month and therefore can’t do things for free is not one of them. Freelancers have no sick leave, no paid holidays and no benefits, and if we do something for free it means less time to earn in.

Private insurers and state officials are warning of higher premiums and chaos in the insurance markets if a last-minute change to the House GOP’s megabill survives in the Senate. www.politico.com/live-updates...

If the insurance folk are saying this, we better listen. ACA will never not be under attack with these Rethuglicans.

I spent many years acting for both marine and general insurers. Nothing of significance happens without the insurers getting involved. Listen to them.

Cuts have consequences, illustrated. As seen on TV 📺

This is a brilliant, simple explanation of how the Current Fuckery will hurt everyday people delivered by a trusted local figure and we need 2000% more of this

The heartbreaking statement from Jonathan Joss’s husband about his death.

🔹 Why ministers still cling to Brexit 🔹 Why pensions are sacred but child benefits are not Because MPs are chasing headlines of ageing newspapers which try to set the agenda, but it’s speaking to fewer, older readers. Rejoin EU is will of the people. www.newstatesman.com/politics/med...

Russia launched a mass drone attack on multiple Ukrainian cities. In Chernihiv, a private home burned down, a school, apartment building, and business were damaged—four people are hospitalized. In Odesa, several homes and infrastructure were hit. In Kharkiv region, a civilian facility was struck.

Simple argument here: if this was happening you'd be able to point to a company that was actually doing it. You'd be able to point to the jobs and the ways in which they'd replaced them with AI and the ceo would talk about it openly. Is that really too much to ask? Yes. The answer is yes

Nigel Farage says abortion laws are “utterly ludicrous.” MPs are watching. We have days to show them: the public backs abortion rights. Join me and sign the petition now! you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/de...

Men have no right to dictate anything regarding women's bodies. Nothing! Reproductive health and rights of women are uniquely personal and crucial. This is a hill I WILL die on.

I keep seeing people say Musk “failed” in his government takeover. No, he did not fail. He shut down investigations into his businesses, he garnered huge contracts, and he stole the personal data of everyone in the US. That’s not a “failure.” This motherfucker won, and won big.

Ordinary people "feel like mugs" for paying when others feel they can get away without doing so, says Robert Jenrick, who was found to have falsely claimed £122 in travel expenses, and used his own office to help a Conservative donor avoid paying £45m in tax www.adambienkov.co.uk/p/robert-jen...

Ask for Pollo Loco

San Diego erupts at ICE raiding a local restaurant and detaining ALL staff.

They need their readers to be made constantly angry at marginalised communities so that they never realise that billionaires are the actual cause of their problems.

Apropos of nothing, I once owned a Renault Clio, and the only way I could remember the end of the number plate, 'EFP' was by naming the car 'Elaine Fucking Paige'. True fact. #totp

Seriously, a good rule of thumb for life is, if you find yourself on the opposite side of a contentious argument to the Quakers, you need to take a deep breath and consider the very high likelihood that you’re the one who’s wrong.

🔴 NEW 🔴 Nigel Farage’s “economically illiterate” clean energy crackdown would cost 60,000 jobs, knock £92 billion off the economy, and raise bills.

Americans are rightfully worried that they are going to die if Medicaid and Medicare are slashed by Rs. Joanie Ernst response to that at a TH was “we’re all going to die”. The callousness of her response is the same as other Rs. They don’t care if we die so long as they get their tax cuts. #MomSky

"Worse still, executives recently established a subsidiary, Innovative Educational Partnerships Ltd, with themselves as directors. Staff... will be employed by this entity, not the university. The central purpose is for executives to.. hire staff on inferior terms and conditions."

If my count is right we now have wildfire evacuations in BC, AB, SK and MB now.
