bears remembering the weird feedback our national parks service sometimes gets from visiting Americans. they ask when they're allowed to go wandering the bush with a gun in their hands and which species they're allowed to take out. They're shocked to be told NEVER and NONE

Much of the plane flights you mention have been in regards to monitoring situations relating to British nationals - including those who are hostages. We cannot, and should not, ignore British nationals in the region.
