Oh and "Hell Raiser" by the Sweet. There was a third but can't recall what that was. We took turns singing lead or playing the guitar.

Yes your right the meteor was launched before the classic.

I've not got past the Meteor myself.
And yet that's a spinoff of the classic. Which makes me a hypocrite .

It was in the spirit of the dad jokes. The response was in capitals.
I'm easily amused..😄

No, it's awful. Or maybe that doesn't matter. Models can be introduced with minimal modification, speedily into the market to wick into the sub genres.
Not sure if that's good or bad by diluting the brand.

Dipping heavily into Buddy here right down to the strings.
Good effort though!

FFS. Nothing changes. In fact it's worse.

Reminds me of going home on leave and meeting my mid teens cousin at a wedding reception - She was utterly gaga over this!

Cracker. At this point I'm obligated to drop that he was our neighbour in the 80s.

I looked he didn't but I'm sure he had a credit on there, I'll have to dig the album out.

Del was singing...Little Runaway I was flying... Tom Petty, Running down a dream. Iirc Del actually played on that record too, but that's off the top of my head, so don't shoot me.
Love this #SOTN for me.

Excellent - Covered by Showaddywaddy on their debut album. Which is where I first knowingly heard it.

We should form our own support group!
And don't get me started about Wrangler Denim Jackets... Mum went to the market and bought us a "Wrongler"...

Hugely frustrating. I got them via Btitbox in COVID and was crunching through, then they dropped into itvX before back to the beeb.
Wonder if there are licensing issues across the series?

Looks like a split single. 250cc iirc. A friend in the USA had one think they were sold by sears!

A clear use of paper candidates one year ago, to show an increased percentage of support. My pals candidate in Portland was a woman in Derbyshire - never credible as a prospective MP. Records will say she came 3rd.

I drove past that on Tuesday and said our loud " Strawberry Line"!

There was a go-kart track at the end when I first got there in 1979!

Probably busier at weekends which might improve the feeling.
I pictured F, C & Mushy peas while the sun went down.
Gutted.

Boarded up seafront bars, no fish & chips open.
I was shocked. The wider area is as beautiful as ever, the front has clearly had a bucket load spent on it, but the general feel was disappointing.
I went to cheddar instead.
