Yes, because they are more intelligent and nefarious. Trump will never give up his power. He will have to die in office or have such a severe stroke where he can't speak before he'd give up.

"Both sides" is getting really really old. Just know that T is Putin's ally. He is not Zelensky's because he didn't open up an investigation into Biden. And he's been money laundering for Russia for decades. He's full of hatred & revenge against Zelensky because he got impeached for abuse of power

The White House until recently had considered a plan for SpaceX, Musk's rocket and satellite venture, to partner with software maker Palantir and drone builder Anduril to construct crucial elements of the project, dubbed "Golden Dome."

This is the project Peter Thiel wanted by offering Vance and funding his campaign and Musk funding Trump's. Quid Pro Quo. But Trump got elected and does not need Elon now. It's possible he mistrusts Vance now and little kinship will develop between the 3 amigos. Trump never keeps his word.

I wish Democrats would stop playing "Nearer My God To Thee" and start elbowing Republicans out of lifeboats.

The Governor may request additional national guards beyond his state if he deems it's such a threat and thus would be through the president. He does not require the president's permission to issue his own States national guard.

Wrong. If the Gov needs national guard for security he requests it from the president. If the president decides it's a national security issue he still needs to discuss it with the governor.

"It would be the first time I’ve ever seen something going through somebody if it never went to them directly," Breyer says.
DOJ attorney Brad Shumate says, "The governor is a conduit," not someone who has a role in the decision.

Breyer initially skeptical that Trump complied with requirement that order calling up the Guard go "through" the governor of the state.
"Im trying to figure out how something is ‘through’ somebody if in fact you didn’t give it to him."

Breyer: "The question really is? Did he comply with the statute? That's the first question."

Judge Breyer: "It's not the commander in chief of the National Guard. "

Let some jr senator elbow him off the podium and speak truth to power! This is unacceptable. Republicans must come to their senses and draw the line here. This is not the Nazi State .

Judge Breyer on 10 U.S. Code § 12406:
"It is a very short statute but it has a number of requirements, and I need to know whether that statute was complied with."
Trump "cited the statute. This was his authority in federalizing the National Guard.

Judge Breyer said that the fast hearing reflects the extreme urgency of the matter and need for deliberations.
He also notes that the Zoom video is part of pilot program for cameras in the courtroom.
