I agree that in/around metro Detroit you’d get a shift in culture however depending on what you’re image is for new work opportunity investment, there barely any brown field to develop. It’s full already, and it’s $$$ to tear down and start anew especially when you’re tapping Detroit water/sewer.

Lot of pushback on affordable housing. ā€œI don’t want the field/pasture I look at developedā€ Is a very common take from west Oakland county to Kent county. That stretch is where MI can grow if folks loosen up on development. And it can connect with transit *somewhat*.

It’s true Gen Z is less car oriented than boomers. Boomers were over 99% priority for cars. Gen Z is creeping up to 70%. That’s not enough to end cars, commutes, or roads. Now I am pro transit. I don’t want to mislead here. The cause for housing expense varies. Out of metro there’s a /1

I don’t blame her. This last election damaged her brand and limits her future electability. And she’s too centrist.

I hope @michigandems.bsky.social Understands that I will never cast a vote for Slotkin again. I do NOT want her or Haley Stevens making money off their job which is supposed to be serving Michiganders. Both are despicable carpetbagging trash.

Transit is not what’s holding back businesses and investments from private sources. A lack of high skill labor is. Nobody wants to put an office here then pay high salary and relocation. They go where the talent is.

His admin could have repealed Patriot act fully vs half assed health reform.

Not fake Christian. New Apostolic Reform. Madness masked as religion.

Not the left. Democrats aren’t left. They’re lost.

I’d like to know what inequality resolved means. Some people think this refers to opportunity while others think it means even distribution of all resources.

They rushed her to emergency for allergies. She’s reportedly going to be released. Health crisis is people who can’t pay for care anymore.

Hey Adam, we need to talk about New Apostolic Reform and how they’ve been taking over the GOP, and intend to take over the country. Boelter is one of them.

I’m telling everyone, look out for New Apostolic Reform. They’re terrorists hiding in churches. This guy is one of them.

Religion scares me and this is largely why.

Also in Democratic districts. National labs are being gutted.

Starting with you condemning the GOP.

He rubber stamped that abomination of a bill which will lead to layoffs and loss of scientists at MSU - right in the district. And he’s mum about DOE budget slashes which could hit the rare isotopes project. He’s a yes man for people who hate what hard working people have built.

Well it’s not on you or I (unless you’re a paid strategist) to solve. I’m not mad at people who have a different view than me. I’m mad at people paid a crap ton of cash who can’t get this done.
comment in response to post
Well, you can be mad all day. That does not bridge to swing voters. They may be mad as hell too, for reasons that aren’t your priority (as a hypothetical situation). Including swing voters long before an election builds consensus. That’s the key and democrats need to demand it from leadership.

I’m just looking forward to participating in a primary. It’s been a while.
comment in response to post
Do you want swing voters? Then let them engage. If you just want to scold/boss/shout understand that’s not motivating. It just makes you feel better.
comment in response to post
To start with, coalitions like robust primaries. Do that every time. Candidates who prevail enjoy consensus.

Registered GOP in 2022- unconfirmed but spotted in news by Newsweek.
