So to sum this up, Colombia told Trump to not be a POS and they'll do what they've always done in an organized process.

Looks like 49th in GDP per capita so when you account for their size, their economy is even worse.

Believe Trump's tariffs of around 25% were on specific companies. While the spike did happen in early '21, Biden's tariffs on all of Canada were the end of '21. There was a lower spike in '22 as well. The spike had a big supply/demand component but the tarrifs are driving the current price.

Some relief we had from the tarrifs he put on China last time was alleviated by running some of the final manufacturing through Mexico. Part of the economic growth they've been experiencing. It will take awhile for companies to find new places, I'd expect to see Brazil or India (BRICS).

I think Canada is one we hit with tariffs. Something like 25% tarrifs and we pay double. Lose lose

Exactly, lumber per 1000ft went from a low just prior to his tarrifs of ~$250 to a peak of over $1600 in 2020. They've come down to ~ $550 now. I saw an article back in '21 that estimated an increase in housing costs of over $35k per.
