Could be they were being called tipped workers? Another way to reduce employer responsibilities for paying a living wage

I crewed on a schooner about 7? years ago and in CT so only similar but it was $40 a day. And living on the boat meant frequent 18 hour days, and I'm a powerful sleeper

State minimum was $12 in 2020. Sounds like they were robbed.

Not in Maine. Keep an eye on state minimum wages and the cutouts that allow lower pay in certain industries. This brings agriculture into the fold of a reasonable minimum. Next should be maritime workers

Most famously potatoes and blueberries. There's real agriculture in Maine and it's at risk from supermarket conglomerates. The fisheries are a different kettle of...well... fish

!!! It truly is amazing what kinds of fine qualities most swears refer to. I've been enjoying it in your writing and have been tickled to see it in your posts here too

With real actual respect, as a reader of your work, will you please contextualize how you use shit eaters in Spanish?

If you're staying overnight, ask about the best breakfast place. Wish I could attend. Empty readings can be soul sucking and your book sounds excellent

Also, should we talk about the capitalistic element of cycle delivery reality? I mean it's not like I didn't read Snow Crash in college in 1996...did they?

¡Thchung! "If the worth of a tree should be judged by its fruit, then Christianity should be pulled by the root. Should be thrown into the fire to burn with the others, the blaze of dead faith no God can smother" "Jesus Christ was born in a barn!"

Long before I smoked, I rolled for friends. Never, not once, did I make anything that looked like that.

They used SO MANY of your ideas! I read faster than my guy (and faster than I can access new promising material) so I did several loops through the Murderbot stories while he read them. I admire your grasp of scope and scale, which details will embed in me and which can be glossed over. Brill.
