The Gilligan's Island episode where he knocks his head and he hears a radio station through his mouth is based on a real phenomenon. Workers could be exposed to carborundum dust which could settle on their tooth fillings and make it a crystal raddio

I've used Kobo for years. I use Calibre like I used CD rippers--to back up my purchases, not to put them on file sharing sites.

I had RF ablation treatments which reduced the tissue volume of my tongue base. A pill acting on the nerve may help, but I can't imagine it helping significantly in many cases.

Biden had many good days/bad days phases. The Hur interview was clearly a bad day. But other days afterwards he was quite lucid. The first debate occurred after a grueling overseas trip and suffering a cold. He was better later. DJT also appears out of it when fatigued.

Nice mega store corporation you got there; it would be a shamed if something awful were to happen to it

I think there remains a strong asymmetry between center left and far left. More on the center left were and are willing to vote for a party nominee candidate further on the left (e.g. Sanders) than those on the far left were willing to vote for a center left candidate (e.g. HRC).

William Shatner covered this song. In a TV appearance he sang it while pensively smoking a cigarette.

A few years ago public officials wanted the government to issue official guidance for no more than three drinks per week. That would be disastrous.

A top 40 hit in the 70s from Neil Sedaka, The Immigrant. About John Lennon and his struggles to stay in the US. "There was a time when strangers were welcome here"

I would be cautious about some BP drugs. Calcium channel blockers may cause changes in blood vessels (vascular remodeling) that reduce blood flow and increase pressure.

My college genetics textbook was written by Richard Lewontin, who described himself as a Marxist biologist in his introduction. But Lysenkoism is simply bad science. In the U.S. pseudoscience and political dogma are controlling government science policy.

Yes, and even Canada explicitly indicated they would retaliate with tariffs affecting mostly red U.S. states. So DJT will not hesitate to punish those opposed to him and reward his friends and supplicants.
