Target demonstrating a complete lack of understanding of the definition of the word "pride".

First they came for the trans folk to protect children, and I did not speak out - because I was not trans. Then they came for the gays to protect children....
Slightly adapted from the original, but we all know where this ends up, it's just that some people are more than happy with the first bit.

Followed you over. You're a rare ray of sanity on social media.

"We" didn't give him the benefit of the doubt - YOU did, you sad excuse of a journalist Andrew Neil. We are NOT responsible for this. YOU are.

Spoiler Alert! You never did manage to get over to Ruth's - to check she was alright - did you?

Hey I got the Domino's menu too - and "Scotland's Voice", the Scottish Labour newsletter. Now - which one to recycle immediately. Decisions, decisions.... 😀

Still buy it on occasion, but it's a shadow of its former self.

No don't as I was watching live. I may have just misheard. Watched the recording on the YouTube Scottish Labour Channel and I can't hear the term. Apologies....

Cringed when he mentioned the "Assembly" in Edinburgh though.

Will bear that in mind in future. I reside in the area covered by that CLP. 🤔

What was the anti-trans motion Duncan? I missed that.

I do this all the time on here. Don't engage, don't argue. Just block. Not interested in the views of such people who are against a group of people solely on the basis of "they're different".

Can anyone blame us here in Scotland for wanting out of this shameful setup?

Disagreement is fine. A line gets crossed when it becomes downright abuse. I've been called too many names - several implying criminal practices on my part - over on the other place such that my tolerance is now zero. I block and just move on.

Plenty in the SNP too, also sadly. Particularly transphobia and homophobia.

If the British Colony of America wishes to rename the Gulf then shouldn't its colonial masters have a say?

Just noticed - Independent are here.

Surely it's not much effort for MSM organisations to get its social media teams running their posts in parallel to at least test the water - same goes for politicians. Of course, some have a vested interest in the status quo. Where are you -Labour, Greens, SNP, Independent, BBC??

Proves you're doing the right thing Jess. Keep going. They're getting rattled - that's for sure.

Did you walk along the wall? Maybe ask a politician EXACTLY where it is. She saw it with her own eyes, apparently...

I learned very early on here Reece. Inevitably the haters migrated here to carry on the hating. Solution? I block more liberally than I ever did in the old place.

It's an old one but a good one. Makes me laugh every time.

Quite right Duncan. Nothing would get me to join the Labour Party - and this latest decision only re-enforces my view. However, whilst you and I may disagree on ScotIndy, I'm with you and your fight over this. Trans rights should be a no-brainer for any political party that aspires to form a Govt

BBC News is sadly deficient in its coverage of UK politics - particularly Scottish self-determination George.

My husband re-closes them. Given that we share "door-opening duties" it annoys the hell out of me.

Already said as much to her over on the other place. "First they came for the trans...". She's gone suspiciously quiet now.

That, of course, is a different vote.

MSPs do not have a vote in relation to this Bill.
comment in response to

Call me old fashioned but I'd like my MP to participate in as many votes as possible - even if the outcome is predictable. Especially if they are only yards away in a tv studio when the division bell rings.

Funny that few, if any, of these MPs post here but are happy to engage over at the other place. As if they are happy being in that cesspit...

But I note that you don't believe that trans folk are deserving of dictating what transphobia is. I also notice that you have completely ignored the premise of the original posting and my reply to it. No serious engagement here - just like the "other place". Blocked.
comment in response to

And yet - they still maintain one phobia was wrong then, but the other one is legitimate now. Eventually transphobia will be resigned to history. However, homophobia hasn't yet been completely eradicated so I'm not holding out much hope. It's so depressing.
