I was thinking more of a dedicated appliance that only toasts bread (and bagels if the heating slots are wide enough) but yeah toaster ovens are definitely s thing here

I was surprised to see someone on a YouTube video ( about a totally different subject)using an air fryer to do frozen waffles. Looking it up seems like about 5 minutes @350 degrees. I have no idea if that's an energy savings over a conventional toaster but it was a new to me idea.
