Hah, I remember bristling slightly at that point in the film!

He's fully committed to the bit too, which made it all the more horrifying.

I also remember being vaguely freaked out by Pizza the Hut, but I think that was a residual scar from the bit in Weird Science where Chet gets turned into a giant pile of farting poo.

There is 100% a designer at Google screaming about this, but has long given up and now spends most of their time sitting in the free cafeteria eating endless pizza.

I never tire of seeing people's sketches. I want my timeline to just be filled with This Sort Of Thing. :-)

To future generations WHSMITH will look like an archaic A.I. name, and not believe it was a real thing.

Apparently spelling and grammar are not one of the standards he holds very highly.

Yeah, largely agree with your take, although I did really love the biplane sequence. It was definitely the weakest of the post MI:2 films, which is a shame. I also thought, bar taking over nuclear sites, they weirdly sidelined the entity as an actual character/threat in this one.

I file this kind of Archive Knowledge alongside knowing how to best compress GIFs and blowing on NES cartridges to make them work properly.

Much like the artist you posted, he disappeared from the internet forever more. Never even made it to the age of social media as far as I’m aware. But his comics were probably too esoteric for the Twitter masses.

It’s great, but I think Garth Marenghi juuuust has the edge on that one for me.

The one I still miss from my 00s Webcomic Community days was the wonderful and strange Journey to Mt. Moriah (which @gearheadrpg.com may remember too) which was beautifully drawn and very surreally written. I loved it. Thankfully his archive is still up online.

I still firmly believe hand drawn animation is its own form of magic.

You didn’t miss anything after ‘Up’. It was a slide downhill for sure. I remember listening to ‘Reveal’ and feeling absolutely crushed. It was so so boring.
The same happened with U2, my other favourite band at the time. ‘Pop’ was a wobble but fuck me ‘All You Can’t…’ was absolutely dreadful.

Ooo, no! A new one? Nice! I got the trilogy as a batch of second hand books, I didn't know there was a new one out too! Thank you!
