Don't get me wrong; too many people likely knew that this is the evil they were voting for and either liked it or did not find it a deal breaker, but I think there might be some subset of trump voters who do not inform themselves and did not want what is happening now.

Nearly a third of the adult US population voted for it, but it is not necessarily true that all of them knew the proposed cruelty that they were voting for, and his low approval ratings would seem to suggest that his public perception has soured since November 5th.
