Have I played Final Fantasy Tactics on three systems? Yes.
Will I make four? Also yes, and stop interrogating me.

Hmmm I may have to snag some gamecube controllers then. I thought about modding some original ones with the 8bitdo conversion kit to be Bluetooth but this is much easier

John this is random but what games do you find yourself playing on the steam deck?

I love trying things out under this mindset. Weird movie or game I will have to explain to people to even talk about? Sign me up!

And there's podcasts! Check it out! Would a random stranger on the internet steer you wrong? Probably not, as I always say

I subscribed a handful of months ago due to nearly every person I follow on here raving about you guys and I gotta say it has been well worth it. The quality of the articles feels like a breath of fresh air. People writing about what they are passionate about, don't know a better way to say it.

I was hoping you would start a podcast! The Aftermath Hours with you on it was great!

Typed assassin so many times it doesn't even look like a word anymore

I feel like an old man with how I'm going to phrase this but I do miss the Assassins v Templars stuff being more directly tangible in the plot. Mirage had it, but that was the first time in forever that you are an assassin doing assassin things. Where's the Assassins and Templars in my AC game!? Lol

This is the kind of information my life is driven by. Random movie/game no one has heard of or talked about that almost no one I know or speak to will relate to in any way? Yes, please.

Just got the HD660s2 as a gift, loving them so far.

Any FPGA tips? Only ever done emulation in the past. There is a flea market nearby I may strike gold at. I'm kicking the adolescent me for thinking it was all junk and not holding onto it.

I did pre-order a SuperStation, that may be hard to remain firm on no CRTs whenever that comes out. (Check that out if you find the time!)

Every time you post a CRT screenshot I admire from afar and firmly deny any internal desire to go down that road. I don't need one, I swear.

Amen to that brother, love me the PSP. First console/handheld I bought for myself that wasn't a handmedown or gift. I don't even know how many hours I spent on that thing.

Joe Abercrombie is one of the greats. Absolutely love the first law series, especially Red Country, something about classic western cowboy mixed with sword and board fantasy scratched an unknown itch in my brain

Absolutely adored Chained Echoes, beat it well over a year ago and still think about it regularly. As someone who *hordes* potions in the FFs and DQs, going out of my way to just use what works, Chained Echoes encouraging using your mana to the fullest felt fresh and different. Absolutely recommend!

Finding the rhythm is hard. I'm hoping to reestablish it now that I am starting a less demanding job. I'm just a hobbyist, but I do find I feel better when I can expect a productive writing session to be likely in the near future, more so than feeling better at having done alot on any given day.

I'm playing through Trails in the Sky FC (very slowly) and looked up a walkthrough for something. First thing to come up was an older GameFaqs walkthrough and my brain went "Ah, so we return once more to the scriptures"

Following Aidan is dangerous because you'll see some cool older game you've never heard of or haven't played that looks rad and proceed to sigh to yourself as you mentally log it as another game to check out. You've been warned.

I have struggled with this as well due to switching to a much more demanding job, which I am leaving. For a while I had to stop for sanity, but before it got really bad I would plan for writing days to be more spread out but dedicate more time for them. It helps to do meal prep or make concessions

I actually had a friend whose brother was named Cloud for obvious reasons.

It is upsettingly good. More than once I have decided I was going to idly play some Balatro while watching something and get so engrossed in it that I fully stop paying attention to what I was wanting to watch and just played instead.

I'm working through the original game with my girlfriend who has never seen/played it. Holds up well!
