We live under a 3km blanket - paper thin - that makes Planet Earth 🌍🌎 uniquely friendly to life and protects us from the unimaginable horribleness of space.

Yep.
I have spent 3 days this week in London with work.
People gathered in multi-ethnic groups at lunchtime just laughing and enjoying each other's company.
Diverse workforces chatting and getting coffee together.
It's not perfect, of course, but it's such a great place.

Whilst on holiday as a teenager in the 1980s, my parents made a detour in rural France to the side of a new TGV line and we marvelled at the speed of the trains.
That was 50 years before HS2 is now due.
