Mostly politics and science, some randoms. Hey what kind of a liberal are you? A left leaning independent. Carl Sagan kind. Evidence based, full stop.

I've never really thought about shoplifting before, in fact resent shoplifters, but this golden kitty with dark chocolate nose and eyes that seem to see the entire universe...my dark urge is tamed by having two at home.

How long before the inevitable order to shoot is followed? trump already wanted to shoot protesters in the legs when he wanted to walk across the courtyard to hold a bible upsidedown. Kent State 2.0.

Ron Swanson was one of Park and Recreation's most complex characters. He was a libertarian who hated government yet worked in government, his most treasured activity was woodworking yet would drop it for love (to Lucy Lawless). Don't expect demon seed to understand anything but superficiality.

What would you like with your blep? Toast? Peanut butter and jelly. Ham sammich? Tea? Crumpets? All of the above?

Yes, they are systematically taking apart science based institutions and more generally the intellectual experts that keep our society functioning. Now, who else did that? www.history.com/articles/pol...

BTW, the man's name was Ira Hayes. I'd been listening to the Johnny Cash song 'Ballad of Ira Hayes' for years and didn't until this nonsense started realize that was him. Welcome to the Streisand effect MFers. You just made it more interesting than ever.

At first I couldn't understand what in MAGA mind would find offensive about this. One of the men raising the flag is Pima Indian and the original webpage stated that. The revised webpage downplays this FACT. Erasing history is fine as long as it's not confederate statues.

Didn't MAGAts say no due process for criminals? Send them to Sudan. It'll be hilarious seeing a bunch of white supremacists surrounded by heavily armed black people who have no hesitancy putting a burning tire around your neck.

Notice what they're not cutting, tax cuts for the rich. Things like social security, which is our money delayed, fully on the table.

Yep, they're sneaking all that in there. The thing is, an EO, theoretically, can't override the constitution. The constitution is explicit on the separation of powers and the authority granted to each. It would need 2/3 majority to alter the constitution and nein fuhrer ain't ever getting that.

They're throwing a lavish military parade for someone who tried like hell, and succeeded, to get out of military service. For someone who is on record many times expressing complete disdain for the military. He doesn't understand service, he just wants the shiny. The sheer hypocrisy is overwhelming.

He's plotting some kind of orange based malfeasance, I just know it.

trump is constantly complaining about criminals in America, yet he loves certain criminals, those who commit crime in his name and for his enrichment. Practically his entire administration is full of criminals. Pam Bondi here dropped a lawsuit against trump university for a $25000 donation. Quid p q

I wonder how regular patrol officers feel about this. The last thing they need is more firepower aimed at them.

When someone gets ebola in Africa, in many cases the family takes the body into their domocile and lives with it for days or weeks. This is a great way to contract ebola. Sorry, maybe they should have had a hazmat suit available, but given they were low on safety equip as it was, not sure that works

If anyone should be going to el salvador it's the insurrectionists. But I wouldn't send even them there because I still believe in law (believed?).

What makes this really sad is this is trump AFTER getting his beauty treatment. He has no hair, he smears orange goo over his face to seem healthy, he is grossly overweight, his bowels are uncontrollable, he wears lifts, his unit is a clown show, on and on.

The main theses of his book is that Biden's inner circle kept his mental decline a secret and that led to trump's return. First of all, there's no one thing that led to trump's return. Joe's state of the union was praised, it wasn't until the debate that he took a hit. Give me a diminished Biden.

Musk was literally cutting checks for a million dollars in a lotto system (not really, insiders got them) if you could prove you voted for the conservative candidate. And the Wisconsin supreme court said that's legal. Meanwhile, you can't hand out water to voters waiting in line on hot days.

With all the insane things she think she has authority over, I almost fell for this. She wants to ban paper straws. How. I thought this was supply/demand capitalist economy. If you don't want paper straws don't fucking use them half wit, you don't have authority to go banning shit you don't like.

Yes, just like infrastructure week is just around the corner. He's going to end the wars in 24hrs. This is going to be a big beautiful country the likes of which you've never seen. Blah, blah blah.

Real men pollute goddammit! They get 7mpg and are proud of it! They have punisher stickers and camo themes and let's go brandon. They throw things at bicyclists, because, ha, bicyclists. It's right there in the name-they're bi. Duh. They are trigger happy mofos sensing a slight will blow you away.

Same thing with Obama, a fundamentally strong economy that by the end of trump's 1st term looked like a wasteland. Obama inherited a raging disaster recession and cries of must bail out this and that cause they're too big to fail. In hindsight, he should've just let them fail.

Notice he says republicans and democrats. No, it's not. The three presidents that raised the debt the most are Abraham Lincoln (he was fighting a civil war), George W. Bush (created a war out of thin air) and Donald Trump (reduced tax revenue by cutting taxes for the rich). He is set to be worse.
comment in response to post
Not that this is any comfort, but this is exactly what was predicted. Cut as many gov services as possible and give tax cuts to the rich. Why do you think Bezos, Zuckerberg and the rest were sitting there? Cause they love the company of trump? No, they saw Musk, and how easy it is.

This isn't theoretical, they've already done it, are doing it, and plan on doing it in the future. It also isn't optional, if you don't wish to uphold the constitution, you forfeit your seat and special elections are held within 6 weeks.
comment in response to post
Let's be honest, Goebbels 2.0 here wants to 'suspend' the constitution period. Any excuse will do-he never believed in it cause he thinks he's superior. Ironically, this frail loudmouth wouldn't last a day out in the field.
comment in response to post
There was a time in the 1980s when you could 'work' with those on the opposite side of the aisle. Unfortunately, Joe Biden thought he was still living in those times. No Joe, we live now in an era of Vlad Dracul.

'I've never met him, but from what I understand he's a nasty guy, doesn't like trump. More fond of the old popes, those were the good popes. I've had cardinals come up to me, tears in their eyes, and say sir you would make the best pope, the greatest pope, and I said yeah i would.' -fake trump quote

Because unfortunately she's gained influence-the one thing she's always wanted. Her idiocy winds up becoming policy and I want to know as ahead of time as possible. Goes w/o saying she is absurd at best, but we live in the absurd for the foreseeable future.

trump is still pushing his 51st state crap. He just can't let the stupid stuff he says go. Most people would never say anything that dumb to begin with, but not just this guy, to see how much of a cult the pubs have become, they just happily follow him off that cliff.

Even before I knew his political affiliation, I could tell he was a nutbag republican. Most have a certain look, of being proud of their ignorance.

He also didn't honor the American dead in Normandy because it was raining and didn't want to get the dead animal on top his head wet. He also didn't like that a disabled veteran was too close to him because the sight of him made him uncomfortable. He's also slashing senior ranks of military. And on.

He said to be patient. He also said he was going end the wars in Ukraine and Gaza within 24 hrs. Something tells me being patient means he doesn't know what the hell he's doing in any arena other than grifting and conning.

It's not yours to rename. That's like Japan calling Illinois Midwest Tokyo. You can call it official jerkoffs, as soon as you're gone, hopefully next year, it's going right back.
