you spend years telling reporters about the things cuomo did and they shrug. they spend a weekend telling reporters about things mamdani never did and they plaster it everywhere. we have to get meaner

It’s actually worse. If Swalwell made a racist remark about him, people could see that and decide for themselves how to react. Instead he’s using his position to spread a brazen lie about the would-be first Muslim mayor and weaponizing another ethnic group to do so

At a time when Republicans are about to kill Medicaid and SCOTUS has sanctioned authoritarianism, no less than 5 congressional Democrats have gone on TV and radio just to blast Mamdani, including the House Minority Leader and his own senator

More than that, he won by mobilizing young voters and using social media, areas where Dems are getting killed nationally. He could help guide them forward and instead they’re all out attacking him. They don’t want to win.

They are Democratic attacks at this point. Republicans have waffled between brazen Islamophobia and actually criticizing his policies. It’s elected Democrats who are in lock step criticizing this one thing he never said

Congressional Dems should not be talking about the mayoral race in NYC. Stay focused on the disaster of the tax bill. All Mamdani talk is a gift to the GOP when you should be shoving this piece of shit legislation down their throats every chance you get. Holy shit this is not that hard.

I called the local and DC offices multiple times, was only able to leave messages. Same thing happened when I called before she voted for the Republican spending bill. She’s a coward who hates her constituents

If Schumer breathes a word about this I’ll swim across the East River

A lot of community leaders and advocates (like Al Sharpton) stood with Cuomo, and IMO they should be pressed on why they did that instead of even looking at the three black candidates in the race

It's a nuanced issue. Black communities tend to skew more conservative in Dem primaries and be wary of the left. Mamdani did break through some with younger black voters. Many older black voters have great memories of Mario Cuomo and the Cuomo name.

Even the “underperforming” is a simplistic narrative with an agenda. He won majority Black neighborhoods like Harlem. He did a lot better than Garcia in 2021. If you consider the path to victory he would’ve been charting, he overperformed

Bichotte sees which way the wind blows and is always meticulously maneuvering to stay in power. Neither Jeffries nor Schumer has had to win a competitive election in over 20 years

Not unexpected, but Ramos

Definitely Ramos. Gillibrand didn't explicitly endorse and she's not on the ballot for 5 years, she'll try to make people forget all about this. Ramos did a photo op with him for nothing in return, will finish below Blake and probably get primaried next year

Gillibrand is the absolute worst

In every poll with ranked choice, Lander's voters went to Zohran over Cuomo 2-1 more. With the cross endorsement it's hard to imagine anything less than an even split and at this rate he might not even need that.
