It’s a useless party. I’m tired of getting my hopes up. I even registered independent. The party needs to die off.

NRP should be killed because its news division normalizes right wing thought and its entertainment division normalizes the worst of liberal pandering.

If the left is relying on Trump not running again then they need a better strategy.

They can write off *business expenses*. Is an Escalade for your spouse a legit business expense? That’s the point. These are not commercial vehicles they just weigh the same. If a business wants to writeoff a panel van for plumbing supplies, that’s legit. A three row SUV for soccer practice..no
comment in response to post
Well, duh, sure. You have to be making enough for the car obv. These are people making good money. Do you think they deserve a 24% discount on their SUV?
comment in response to post
Tiny, probably. Lib, no. But white?? lol.
comment in response to post
It’s so tiny!
comment in response to post
Touché.
comment in response to post
f you buy a $100k Escalade and depreciate it 60% in the fist year that’s $60k off your income. That’s huge.

None of that makes sense dude. Lots of aggrieved pundits on here. It’s annoying. People’s lives are being destroyed and they are mad folks online didn’t “believe them” at some point in their careers on Twitter or some other BS. Who cares. Not about you.

With smaller leased cars you can write off the lease $ against business income, or choose mileage. Most choose the lease amount. With big cars it’s way more lucrative.

The 179 deduction for vehicles over 6,000 lbs is considered a heavy vehicle. This typically includes pickup trucks, commercial vans, and larger SUVs. For vehicles over 14,000 pounds, you can deduct 100% of the purchase price rather than being subject to the limitations assigned to IRS section 179

No. Not how it works. www.kbb.com/car-advice/s.... Used to be 100% and no $ limit just a few years ago. Must have changed.

Your tax dollars are paying for g-wagons AND the roads they are destroying. Nice huh?
comment in response to post
Lolz. That’s is 10000% wrong bud. Did you know businesses can write of 100% of these vehicles? Often in year one? Do you know folks buy these cars under BS corps so they can, essentially, get free cars? Yes. That’s why the streets are full of them. I know several folks who do this.
comment in response to post
Huh?
comment in response to post
Weight destroys the roads faster, requires more energy, encourages an “arms race” of mass in search of safety, uses more raw materials, etc, etc.

GVWR
comment in response to post
Weight is way more important than size. Eliminate the tax write off for high GVRW vehicles and problem solved. Partially anyway.
