I need everyone to genuinely understand that when I was 13 @kainin.bsky.social legitimately tried to figure out how her Canadian ass could adopt me to save me from my evil mother. Was literally asking college professors for loopholes on this shit. Simpler times.

When I came out as bi to my mom (at 15), she said, “don’t you need a man to make you feel safe?” I was so hurt. When I told my mom at 29 that my previous relationship was abusive and sunk me into a hole of drug addiction, she said “I can’t believe you let a boy do that to you.”
