"MSNBC's Tom Costello claimed Friday that an air traffic controller who works at Newark airport said, ‘It is not safe. It is not a safe situation right now for the flying public. Don't fly into Newark. Avoid Newark at all costs.’”

ICE says it is investigating the cause of death of 44-year-old Marie Ange Blaise in a Florida detention center on Friday. A local congresswoman says Blaise had complained of chest pains "for hours."

James: I entered into public service because I recognize the power of government—and that government should be, and has always been, a force for good. For those reasons, I am defending the United States government—defending it against these illegal and unlawful acts by this president

April 28, 2025: Migrants are making SOS signs out of their bodies so drones can see them at our country's concentration camps.

Pete Hegseth shows real leadership by passing the blame to Mike Waltz. Was it Waltz who set up Signal on Hegseth's office computer and added his wife, brother, and lawyer in a war plan group chat?

I could be wrong about this but I really think most Americans do not want to be forced to “do their own research” about food & drug & product safety and would rather that the government agencies that have been sorting that all out for them for decades not be obliterated in the name of “efficiency.”

The list could go on and on….and on. But here are 5 diabolical, disastrous, deplorable, detrimental dumb decisions by Don.

Sam Seder confronts Ethan Klein on the dangers of conflating criticism of zionism with anti-Semitism

Erika Alexander & Kim Coles are launching a “Living Single” rewatch podcast:

I’m so confused by the folks who said that raising the minimum wage would increase the price of every day goods while also being okay with tariffs raising the price of every day goods… I reckon they are okay paying higher prices as long as it doesn’t help anyone making a minimum wage.

Mike Waltz has left the chat.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth had the consumer messaging app Signal set up on a computer in his office at the Pentagon so that he could send and receive instant messages in a space where personal cellphones are not permitted, according to two people with knowledge of the matter.

Walz: Here in Minnesota, freedom means several things. It means freedom from hunger and poverty. That means freedom to worship or not. It means the freedom to be who you are anyway you choose, and that is a birthright..

Walz: If you say you love freedom but you don't believe freedom is for everybody, then the thing you love is not freedom, it is privilege.

#sussexsquad I'm serious y'all need to listen to todays episode and recommend it to others. I always say every Tuesday's episode is my favorite 😂, but today's episode is truly a favorite 😊

While the gospels say that Judas led the Romans to Jesus, a new theory is gaining traction with some Biblical scholars. There is evidence, some say, that Judas merely shared Christ's location on an insecure group chat that accidentally included several Roman officials and journalists.

Raskin: You see that with Hegseth and a lot of other people who can actually be promoted to the highest levels of this government with the most irresponsible behavior, but they all happen to be white guys..

Raskin: The president derives his powers only either from the Constitution explicitly or from an act of Congress and Congress certainly has never given the president the power to relocate prisoners to foreign countries and there's nothing in the constitution that remotely vests that power…

This is an obvious point, but cannot overstated. There is an enormous difference between deporting someone - where they get off a plane as a free citizen in their home country AND FUNNELING THEM INTO A BRUTAL PRISON FROM WHICH THEY HAVE NO CHANCE OF EVER EMERGING!!!

Fox News has resorted to just straight up lying about Abrego Garcia, who has never been convicted or even charged with a crime

Dem’s project 2029 part 4

"Due process is the essence of democracy. That’s what’s so alarming about what's happening today, when the govt is picking someone up on the street, sending them to a prison in El Salvador, and not bothering to ask if they’re guilty. That could happen to anyone. It’s off the charts authoritarian."

"The agreement includes meaningful raises, smaller class sizes, and more classroom resources, but it also codifies some of the most comprehensive LGBTQ+ protections ever included in a public school labor deal." Check out "bargaining for the common good" www.advocate.com/news/chicago...

As someone who experienced threats and harassment from armed extremists for over a decade, I have empathy for anyone who feels afraid of retaliation for free speech. But at the end of the day, we all must make a choice: back down or double down.

Dear senators who think you can’t do anything, Today, Senator Van Hollen - through diplomatic pressure - got a meeting with Abrego Garcia in El Salvador. So that thing you’re thinking about doing? DO IT. ~ All of Us

😂😂

There is nothing comforting about “I’m just as scared as you” coming from the legislative branch that’s supposed to keep checks and balances on the executive. While she thought it was relatable, it is actually mortifying.

If you’re changing the definition of human rights, it means you plan on violating people’s human rights.

the fundamental problem with these people (not jonathan) is that they don’t seem to believe in anything. if you’re willing to sacrifice one of the foundational rights of constitutional government on the altar of “buh this might not be popular” then what won’t you sacrifice?

I said my main goal of this trip was to meet with Kilmar. Tonight I had that chance. I have called his wife, Jennifer, to pass along his message of love. I look forward to providing a full update upon my return.

If you think you can't make a political issue out of "people shouldn't be grabbed off the street and put in a foreign gulag forever," maybe consider getting out of politics/punditry. And these aren't technical slogans: they appear in the Declaration of Independence and in the Constitution (twice).

I don't really care what the "political consequences" are of fighting for the proposition that *everyone* is entitled to due process before they are removed from the United States and sent to a Salvadoran prison. It's not really a principle if you only adhere to it when it's politically expedient.

🤣🤣

This is some sick shit

“It’s amazing that others in this room underwrote electing a man who, in the last week, single-handedly destroyed all of American science. It’s amazing how much good science you can destroy with $320 million and RFK Jr, very fast.” — Seth Rogen’s censored remarks presenting the Breakthrough Prize

Just so we’re clear, everybody calling Kilmar Abrego Garcia a “terrorist” or a “gang member” are lying, and they know they’re lying, and they repeat it for purposes of confusing people who don’t follow this stuff closely into accepting what was done to him.

This is on target.

China is openly mocking us because we are openly mockable right now.

REPORTER: There are laws on the book that make it a criminal offense to harbor illegal immigrants, like sanctuary state leaders have been doing. Do you think they should be prosecuted and possibly put in prison? HOMAN: Absolutely. And hold tight on that one, because it's coming.
