Yes, this is nice, but in my area contributors are very eager to remove things that is no longer there. For example nice grafitti pieces have been removed when they were no longer visible in the real world.

Several of the DT albums have commentaries by Fenriz and Nocturno up on the Peaceville Bandcamp. There are some funny anecdotes in those that has made me appreciate the albums more. And Nocturno talking about fishing or whatever.. Haha

Tapes do not sound bad at all. But I see the criticism when it comes to clarity. For that CDs and digital is much better.
I did collect tapes as a kid, and have started collecting again the past 5-6 years as vinyl prices and shipping have risen. It is also a good format to buy at concerts.

I find that the warm and wooly sound quality fits some music well. I would rather listen to a tape than the sterile and cold digital sound from a computer or phone. One advantage over vinyl is that it is more portable. Just put the tape in your pocket..

For me Von, Negative Plane, Spirit Possession and Minenwerfer are good bands and exceptions to the rule. And that latest Wayfarer was good too. I do not understand the Absu-hype apart from a few songs.
