Facts. Born and raised here and when people ask if it’s really like the show Atlanta I’m like YES.

lol semi related fun fact - Jaws the book is one of the worst books of all time and Jaws the movie is the top example I give when people ask for a movie that’s better than the book.
The book is TERRIBLE

Thank you for sharing! I’m in Vine City next to the Ashby station where the Breeze card machines rarely work, and yet I see food delivery robots being rolled out just 5 minutes away near the Mercedes-Benz Dome. It’s a troubling dichotomy that I struggle with so your post really resonates with me.

That’s great that you were able to turn it around and sorry to hear that you were bullied. Kids can be awful!

I just had a smart mouth because a lot of my teachers were dummies! And then senior year I used to skip class a lot with my two Indian friends so we could go to the mall.

Real world political organizing and action is always going to be somewhat cringe because earnestness, inclusivity, and optimism just is not that cool compared to world-weary and judgmental ironic detachment.

I was just reading about that. I used to work in supply chain operations and I’m shocked that they rely so heavily on UNFI as their distributor to where the stores are practically empty if UNFI has a major outage.
Single point of failure that’s probably costing them millions

The ALT text didn’t save right 🙄 the scene is from season 2 episode 10 of Atlanta which follows a young Earn as he struggles with being taunted over allegations his FUBU jersey is fake. His white friend is confused about why it’s a big deal as Earn explains the situation to him (pictured)

I had to look up what happened to hear and I see she was diagnosed late because she wasn’t getting mammograms due to a fear of radiation 😢. I read Walter Isaacon’s book on Jobs so I’m familiar with his story and I think of it often when I hear about aversions to modern medicine 😔

This whole debacle is putting the troops in a lose lose situation which is really unfortunate and will have a lasting impact for decades.

I forgot to update my payment to my new card for YouTube Premium so I got a bunch of ads on a video I was watching. They were all full of the most manipulative AI garbage I’ve ever seen.
On the bright side, the AI slop might actually kill internet culture for good and push people back outside.
