This seems like a great day to remind Bluesky that Stephen Miller lived four doors down from me freshman year And our student council person asked him (and everyone) to sign a birthday card for our dorm’s janitor And he threw a tantrum and wrote an op-ed about not socializing with “the help.”

It's not that Biden's decline while in office, and the effort to hide it, isn't a story. It's just that the guy *currently* in office is also in serious decline, dangerously so, and was even before he was elected, and there oddly doesn't seem to be the same fervor to cover that story.

Trump officials' showings at hearings today were disasters, but it doesn't make headlines bc the media's default assumption is that Rs are clownish rascals. But if Dems didn't know what was happening at their agencies or what habeas corpus is, it'd be front page news. This is a key media asymmetry.

Noticeable that teenagers routinely demonstrate an ability to speak more clearly about right and wrong than almost every elected leader in the Democratic Party. (See also: gun control, gay rights, racism, etc.)
