That's the exact film I was thinking of when I said I'm screwed. :P

Clarkson, Hammond, and May from Top Gear. Yup, I am so, so screwed.

He was one of the bravest Cardassians who ever lived, and viewed himself as a coward.

It's never a bad time to belt out Coulton!

I'll keep an eye out for 'em on my next trip. On a related note, I know it's not possible because of growing seasons and whatnot, but I so wish Cara Cara oranges were available year-round. They're just so damned good.

It only held the title of fastest production truck in the world briefly, as the Australian HSV Maloo beat it the following year by a margin of over ten mph.

Not for lack of trying from your opponents, apparently. A split second sooner and that shell would have ruined your race.

I make heavy use of the "Don't Recommend Channel" option. I even do that for channels with legitimately good content, but use AI-generated images for their thumbnails. The most painful one was the "Mayday: Air Disaster" official channel. Love the episodes; their thumbnails are atrociously obnoxious.

Hah. Didn't even enter my mind, originally. Always think of him as a freelance police detective first, and as a dog second. :D

I forget, did we watch Haibane Renmei together all the way through, or was it only a handful of eps and we finished the series each on our own? Either way, that series is one incredible narrative to experience.

Is considered something along the lines of stolen valor if I tell "dad jokes" without actually being a father?

Should have bought a Corolla or Civic instead. :P

I see "Zidane", and the first thing that pops to mind is headbutting rude Italians.

Definitely one of the rare days where cleaning the holosuite filters is the *preferable* cleaning job...

I've taken up writing (for my own personal amusement) for the first time since high school... I know what I want chapters way down the line to be, but to get from here to there I get so stuck sometimes. ...and then I wake up at 3 a.m. with a vision of how to make it work and have to fire up the PC.

Unfortunately not. Its Blu-ray is distributed by "Cohen Media Group", which I've never heard of. So, the quality of that release may or may not meet your acceptable standards, for all we know. It's been a favorite film in my family going back to my parents' days in college in the early '70s.

It might unfortunately grow your backlog incrementally ever larger, but have you ever seen "King of Hearts" (1966)? Based on the other films pictured here, it might be right up your alley.

...and then we have shows like Law and Order and ER that began in the mid '90s, yet were shot on anamorphic film by forward-thinking producers. Their remasters look amazing on modern TVs. Unlike sitcoms of the era, that still look wrong through all of their upscaling and screwy cut/stretched 16:9.

Hi, Chief. Thanks for taking my call. Is there any chance that sound-deadening can be improved in the level three habitat ring? I like Klingon opera as much as any Terran, but sometimes it gets to be too much.

Not the greatest driver nor most trustworthy narrator, but man he was such a force of personality that added some great color to the sport. Still think his #7 Sirius car looked damn slick.

Welp, you couldn't have made a better choice for a reliable, durable replacement. That thing stands the best chance for lasting you another 16 years.

Damn shame it didn't last. That was one of the few good cars GM made in that era. You ever get people slowing down around you, thinking you were an unmarked police car? :P I'm a car nerd, so I can't help but be curious regarding what you got to replace it. But if you'd rather not, I understand.

I wish I was in a position/career to be in need of an artist, because your skills continue to impress. Not just one style, but many styles, and now you show off this beautiful sketchwork of the human form? Guldarn fantastic work.
