It's fucking insane that starting with his criminal trials we just live in a world where a ruling happens and then you can appeal and all the bad shit gets to continue for over a month. Can we have one week? Why June 5th for something transparently fucking illegal?

We excelled at manufacturing. Led the world in it! We had union workforces that wanted prosperity and health insurance, and companies got sick of that so started finding countries where they could avoid paying that price.

“I have passionate differences and disagreements with Kushner, but I supported his confirmation because he has been unrelenting in reforming our criminal justice system and has substantively helped achieve the liberation of thousands of people from unjust incarceration,” Just random ass grifting

He released an explanation. It was pathetic, but if you call his office they'll refer you to that. He wants this to go away. We should not let it.
comment in response to post
Should he have nominated Charles Kushner or Davi Perdue to get your approval?
comment in response to post
@booker.senate.gov is such an absolute fraud. It's wild. Voted to confirm Perdue and Kushner and now wants us to pay him for an act it turns out was meaningless.

Memorial Day started in 1868 to commemorate Civil War vets. I'm sure that wasn't political. This post was made by a Senator. But yeah. That's not political. Nothin in this realm is divorced from politics. And to think it is the height of naivete. you're weclome to drop it, you keep engaging🤷‍♂️

glad y'all are holding him accountable

Cory Booker is a senator and his actions and statements are political. It's the job he signed up for. Just my two cents.

That's very compassionate of you, thanks!

I think it's impossible to overstate how much the majority position is "this is all annoying, stop telling me about it and make prices magically go down." It's wildly ahistorical and anti-intellectual, but that's America in 2025.

Most Americans have NO IDEA about what is happening. They are undereducated, ideologues being fed propaganda by our main stream media. They have been indoctrinated by decades of disinformation so that when a truthful tidbit sneaks through, they dismiss it as fake news. Willfully ignorant. Sad.

Not entirely a fair comparison. Cognitive acuity inarguably declines with age. There is an age we make pilots retire. Politicians are steering a much bigger plane.

I went from despondent to "we can do this, let's organize and rally" back to despondent the last few weeks. the Democrats genuinely don't get it. They don't get it even when faced with literal American nazism.
comment in response to post
Because the people we elected to be an opposition party are bending over and complying with American nazism.

I was devastated by the election, but nothing has sucked me dry of hope like the Democratic response to it.

Memorial Day and all discussions of our "freedoms" are inherently political. The poster, Senator Booker, just voted to confirm our dictator's relative, a literal felon, Charles Kushner. There's no apolitical version of this conversation.
comment in response to post
Then why did you enable them by confirming a felon and literal relative of our dictator, Charles Kushner?
comment in response to post
why are you still posting instead of stepping down for a real progressive? Kushner ended your career.
comment in response to post
This went beyond compliance. His voted wasn't needed. Not a single Dem did it and in NJ it's gonna hurt him, not help him. He did this because he was paid to do it years ago when the Kushners paid for his political career.

comment in response to post
He conned us. I'm an every election NJ Voter and he's lost me for 2026. This level of Democratic failure is a huge part of why we're here. @booker.senate.gov is a fraud.
comment in response to post
You voted to confirm a Kushner. We don't care what you have to say
comment in response to post
@schumer.senate.gov allowing the government to stay open in the hands of a nazi and his party laid the way for this.
comment in response to post
I'm horrified that you conned us with the filibuster and then voted to confirm Charles Kushner.
comment in response to post
does Charles Kushner know you're talking bad about his friends?

They should be calling for a general strike immediately. A fascist dicatorship has taken the country. We need to stop acting like this is a bad presidency. It's a fucking nazi coup.
comment in response to post
What the fuck is going to take for real opposition then, @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social ? No statements. No media hits. Call for a General Strike. No dems should be attending congress. Impeachment charges. A fascist dictator has taken over and you people are acting like we're having a disagreement.

I'm a single issue voter, the single issue being trumpism. If you collaborate with it, what's your fucking purpose? @booker.senate.gov is a fraud.
comment in response to post
I'm an every election voter. I help get people to the polls. I'm in my town's local Dem club depsite the party often making me nuts. Harm reduction was worth it to me. I genuinely am not going to vote for you in 2026. Thank for you showing me "blue no matter who" is part of what we're here.

Nope. He just made some intern eat shit basically.

you really should be.

I called @booker.senate.gov 's office legitimately 40 times the last two days before getting an answer. The reason i was given is that "charlie kushner is passionate about criminal justice reform." Not kidding.

Have you owned up to voting to confirm Charles Kushner? Fraud.

4) It's driving me a little crazy the idea that the Democratic party has something it has to answer for when, in fact, the party undertook a totally unprecedented, wrenching, brutal, difficult effort to PUSH OUT THEIR OWN NOMINEE just a few months before election day!
