i’m trying to text my pharmacist's assistant “do u think the universe is worth saving?” but autocorrect keeps changing it to “what’s your deal, slut?” the moment passes. the earth continues to spin. the dread persists. i drink a capri sun upside down, hoping it’ll kill me faster.

Koudelka was actually an inspiration, but my idea doesn't have turn based battles so i can't use it too much as an idea board😓my big issue is running from something in turn based grid mvmt means players could look at it as much/long as they want😮‍💨 the scaring the monster thing sounds incredible tbh

ty ty. i've tinkered at this concept a little more since posting and it's probably one of the better ideas i've come up with period tbh. the big thing i haven't figured out is how to actually make such a concept 'scary' (vs just stressful) i might play with the idea more even if i don't make it

Man, lots of love for indie games here on Bluesky. Check out the doors that led to nowhere. 5 hours of really tight gameplay and interesting story. It's free, but really shouldn't be imo: store.steampowered.com/app/3206890/...

this is a really fast mock up of the lighting i'm envisioning btw. where everything would have that type of shadow

i think this could be an interesting idea, but i'm already deep underway with a different project

to elaborate the player can move one space more than the monster in a given turn, or maybe they could take two actions in a turn, some way to make it fair. the monster isn't always hunting the player, it could be minding its own business. big puzzle focus. light visibility mechanics with candles.
