A lot of our jumping and screaming about how democracy is on fire only gives the other side something to focus on OTHER THAN THE FIRE. Current plan: Let it burn for a while till they notice the heat. Maybe the fire will convert some dumbasses into allies.

One thing I find interesting about the echo chamber complaint is that an echo chamber just won a presidential election. Put aside the convo of whether it’s “good” or “bad” for a moment. The far right has devoted enormous resources + time to building echo chambers & loathes spaces they don’t control

My friend in a leadership program in grad school sent me this diagram of the “Toxic Triangle.” So I guess you could say we have a “textbook case” of destructive leadership on our hands. We need to get better at addressing the problems at the base of that triangle. Way better.
