Your Juneteenth post got me thinking about Curtis Mayfield, who was enormously influential on rock, tackled societal issues in his music, and is one of the great American songwriters. RIP

Still love this record! For whatever reason, my brain has kept a pretty vivid memory of when I bought my copy on vinyl when it came out. I grabbed a new copy, went to the counter, and the record store clerk said "we have a fresh used copy if you want that." So I grabbed that. Fascinating, I know :-)
