A Lisa timelapse from a few months back~

I don't think I'll ever have time for full tutorials, but someone messaged me asking how I draw shoes/boots/heels at weird angles and I made the most basic diagram to explain myself 😂

Since it is Juneteenth, I will share a lil something... My ancestors were slaves in Texas & were freed on June 19, 1865. They came together to meet with other ex-slaves & formed the Limestone County 19th of June Organization. They bought 30 acres of land on Lake Mexia.

Enslaved Black Children Were Educated Here. Now the Public Can Learn the History. Beginning on #Juneteenth, a restored Virginia schoolhouse where enslaved and free Black students were taught to read is on view in Colonial Williamsburg. www.nytimes.com/2025/06/19/u...

We need to get an OC OTP "air jail" train going. I'll do up a sketch tomorrow. Idea originally brought to me by @tendermiasma.com and her cute lover boys.

Favorite underrated actress? (One of)

loll okay, so, like, I'm as white as most hospital walls and I just don't know what to say/do? So I think my real reaction is something like. "Oh! It's Juneteenth! Sweet." I mean...this isn't for me. This is a day for our Black neighbors so, like...y'all have fun. I'll buy ya' a steak or somethin'.

I think I wanna do my own art/writing share when I hit 1000 And I'll hit that pretty quick. Thanks Bluesky :D

Hey, question for the #Writers in the room: after you publish, you ever think about releasing your drafts and notes, too? You know...so people can look at your process and see if there's anything to get out of it?

Better bust out the grills, fam.

Writing a manuscript on a phone sucks. It really does

The new pope is...new.

Wrote this piece for Harpers Bazaar about the life, legacy, and hate-induced murder of Jonathan Joss through the eyes of being a Two-Spirit Native person this Pride. I hope you take a read. For Him. For all of us. 🪶

I need a new office desk or chair and a new computer. ugh

Vampirrreeessss

Here is are some otters to help calm your nerves.

AND I'm home and awake. Weird.

Got two more Fallout projects up my sleeve. Here's one of them at least. #fallout

A great chat tonight everyone, thank you. But a quick note... some people are posting book covers on questions as we no longer permit links. Kindly don't. Take a 1hr break from marketing to chat and connect with other horror creatives. We have an outro for promotion at the end. #HorrorWritersChat

THAT'S IT FOR ANOTHER WEEK! There is no algorithm here so visibility depends on engagement. HAVE YOU ANSWERED THE QUESTIONS? Use the #HorrorWritersChat feed (bsky.app/profile/chao...) or click the hashtag. Anything to share? Sale? ARCs? Promote below and share others' promotional stuff too!

#HorrorWritersChat A nice vanilla with blueberry muffin pieces. I'm not good at naming things, though.

I think I tend to write less, and I love the long nights of summer, especially living by the coast. Pre-tourist season I tend to go to the beach during the day and take notes. So, I write less but brainstorm more if that makes sense I also tend to write my more cosy fiction too #HorrorWritersChat

Evening all 👋 Louise here; I write MG and YA stuff which will be ready one day, I swear 🤣 I guess horror resonates with me because it's a part of me. It's the first genre I was ever drawn to and all I read growing up. I read, write and think about it every day #HorrorWritersChat

#HorrorWritersChat I don't know...🤔 I know that I walk around more often during the summer but otherwise, I usually get super blitzed and draw/write 😅

Hi I'm Anna. I write quite a range of SFFH, but when I veer down the horror path, it is usually bordered with the hulking hedgerows and sinister sentient trees of eco-horror. I suppose I like the flavour of risk and transgression, contained by the interior nature of writing. #HorrorWritersChat

Evening. Matt 😊 Hi, I'm Beverley, a dark fiction writer from the UK specialising in atmosphere and the build-up of dread. For me, horror is an emotion, and I get to explore that emotion and countless others through my characters. #HorrorWritersChat

#HorrorWritersChat Hi! I go by MJ these days, Canadian author and quiet eccentric that writes mostly folk horror but I write a little of everything. Horror resonates with me because it usually deals with the outcasts and the weird. I’ve always felt like I was on the outside looking in.

#HorrorWritersChat I'm DJW, the author/illustrator of my series 'Descendant'. If I'm being honest, horror never really spoke to me until recently. I feel that there's a realism to it that other genres don't have and I've found it to be an interesting sandbox to play in.
