"feels more productive" Well who could argue against a well-reasoned thesis like that?

I heard in some areas they actually have to drink Prosecco instead of Champagne. Ew.

Also, the "few states" he references are more than a third of US states where about a quarter of the US population lives.

How is the whole "resigned his last elected office in disgrace" not a disqualifier? What's going on up there, NYC?

There's a reason the Silmarillion was published posthumously from drafts and notes. It was never intended, by Tolkien, to be the "actual book."

This is gonna be so good.

Damn. I thought it was madness all this time, and now you're stealing me there's a method?

Also wild because I'm pretty sure I've read before that Sgt. Pepper was directly influenced by Pet Sounds.

I thought they were solar-powered dresses? So we can be less dependent on fossil fuel fashion.

But again, who is providing those numbers and how were they determined?

That's how you get "worse" in office, wielding all the power.

Do you honestly think we'd be where we are now if she was in the office instead of him?
comment in response to post
No. We had one absolutely terrible person and one imperfect person.

Criminally underrepresented on this thread.

When these folks say "order over chaos," what they mean is "order over freedom." "Order at the cost of our Constitutional rights." "Order regardless of legal or moral obligations."

Why not?

Biggest challenge there is that letters and diary entries have specific, limited audiences (usually a single individual). The other types of communication you reference are intended for broad consumption.

Congrats on finding a way to make yourself even more insufferable. I didn't think it was possible, but you sure showed me.

This reminds me of folks in my parents' generation who were so used to stores being named possessively for the families that owned them (Macy's, Woolworth's, etc) that they use the same convention for everything, like Best Buy's.

I first read that as "JFK feminism" and... that would also seem problematic?

There is no second wrong, though.

What I said was very clear. If you have to argue against things I didn't say, you don't really need to post at all. Just say stupid shit to yourself.

None of these stories discusses a child randomly walking down the street into a Pride event.
comment in response to post
You have not provided any evidence that the situation presented in your initial claim is happening.
comment in response to post
This was your claim: "It's absurd that a child walking randomly down the street and there happens to be a gay pride parade going on with naked men and women would see it." None of these stories describe that situation.
comment in response to post
I'm saying your single picture with no identifying information is not evidence that every year children walking down the street are exposed to naked people at Pride events.
