Senator Murphy: I don't ask law enforcement to throw my constituents to the ground and violently handcuff them because they have a different opinion from me. We don't do that in a democracy. If this is how a Senator can be treated, none of our constituents are safe. This is a test for the country

""It's really hard to fathom that the guy making my pizza for 25 years is a gangster and a terrorist, and the person who shows up in an unmarked car wearing a mask and body armor comes to take him away is somehow the good guy," said Simon..." www.wnep.com/article/news...

TFW Corey Lewandowski is the voice of political reason.

Fell behind on Andor, so am catching up. Watched Episode 9 this evening. You know. The wild one where they arrest a Senator after manufacturing a fake crisis that required the military to put down protestors. So unrealistic.

This is a watershed moment. Senator Padilla getting thrown to the ground and handcuffed. Trump admitting his mass deportations are targeting hard-working people that are contributing vitally to the US economy. Trump sending troops into a US city that even local law enforcement didn't ask for. 1/

RFK Jr’s ACIP pick, Martin Kulldorff, said one of the most disturbing images from the pandemic was a toddler crying about having to wear a mask. I see toddlers cry about everything all the time, and I found it far more disturbing to see refrigerator trucks full of body bags outside of the hospitals…

On the left, Jesse Watters denouncing Comey for saying Trump should be 86’d and claiming it was a death threat. On the right, Jesse Watters describing Terry Moran’s firing from ABC as him being… 86’d. To misquote a line from the right, you don’t hate [Fox] enough.

You fight for a zygote, but cheer when a child is ripped from a mother‘s arms by ICE. Tells me everything I need to know about you.

A friend who works at Harbor-UCLA just told me that ICE was on the premises. Harbor-UCLA is a safety-net hospital & a level 1 trauma hospital. People are going to die because of these actions. This makes me so angry.

DOJ has been instructing immigration judges (who they oversee) to dismiss cases from the bench without allowing time to appeal in order to allow ICE to make courtroom arrests.

At Fort Bragg, Donald Trump crossed a dangerous line. Where are the generals who should be speaking up in defense of the military's rules and traditions, asks @radiofreetom.bsky.social? https://theatln.tc/eVGJfmoZ

A piece of advice from an old retired soldier to the commanders and leaders currently serving: Review the regulations & policies addressing political behavior when wearing the uniform, and then address those standards with your teams.

Idk man but when the administration that tried to reject humanitarian aid for Los Angeles when it was burning tries to justify their illegal military occupation by saying they aren’t going to let LA burn it kinda sounds like bullshit

Here's the full Newsom address. It's great. (99% anyway, it's a tiny quibble but can we please stop reflexively adding "hard working" as the sole acceptable preceding adjective for immigrants) www.youtube.com/live/0n77NFj...

As Sauron invades Gondor, hobbits enter risky terrain. - Minas Tirith Herald

Gosh, I wonder what part of the MAGA base this caters to?

Nothing like celebrating traitorous slavers.

The natural end point of having masked police not in uniform arresting people nationally and holding the threat of arrest against bystanders for interfering as they work:

This an absolute insane and irresponsible way to frame a military crackdown on the freedom to protest.

"ABC claims it is motivated by the values of objectivity and impartiality. But what about the value of independence — or, for that matter, the value of truth?"

Tear gas can cause long-term health consequences by making people more susceptible to contracting respiratory illnesses, including COVID. The chemical agent can also hurt people inside their homes if it seeps into residential neighborhoods. What you need to know (published 2020):

I couldn't NOT do this.

I wish whenever Democrats did the boilerplate "Of course I believe that violent or destructive protesters should be arrested," they'd add, "Unlike our president who pardons them if they are beating on cops for him."

Completely bizarre to hear tv talk about sending in the military and then you see the actual pics of the protests and people are buying hot dogs and line dancing while the Nat Guard looks on in silent envy.

When we think about how elections in the US may cease to be fair, this is what it looks like. www.nytimes.com/2025/06/09/u...

Trump promised to deport violent criminals. Instead, he deported a 4-year-old cancer patient. Now he’s fueling chaos again. Don’t give him what he wants. If you’re showing up to protest with violence in L.A.—go the fuck home. Peaceful protesters have a case. Let them be heard.

⚠️ Warning: The Trump administration is circulating footage from 2020 to make the situation in L.A. appear more chaotic than it is. This is an intentional effort to manufacture a larger crisis. Stay alert. Pay attention. The propaganda machine is in overdrive.
