Thanks, RG. I have two (Mt. Hood)

This is entirely dependent on how you use the pedal assist and gears, how much weight the bike is carrying, and the terrain. My husband and I can be on the same setting, same hill, and he draws more wattage than I.

In this case, it is profoundly stupid to accept it. As one of your previous commenters said: Trojan Horse.

Unconstitutional, unethical, and profoundly stupid. The plane is no doubt loaded with spyware/malware.

So Loomer is arguing that DJT is not in charge of his own administration? Interesting take.

More terrible news. The loss to science in just a few months will take decades to recover.

Checked Bluesky just in time. My father has lived 90 years in the shadow of Mt Hood. He’ll love that!

That’s interesting. At Interior, when I started in 2016, it only had President Obama’s photo. Then under Trump 1.0 it added Secretary Zinke - but he was nothing but ego, so that didn’t surprise me. Biden was the first with Pres, Vice, and Sec.

Fine. But McConnell is not bringing anyone along with him. He also voted no on some disastrous confirmations, but they still went through. McConnell needs to do better.

Awful, obviously. But it also might mean that scientists doing the important work at CDC to protect us from diseases did not get RIFed.

It would work equally well with a Canadian flag on the side.

True, apparently. That’s the Greenland flag on the side.

Agreed. And there are times they should drop the regional blackout as well - Opening day is one, also Mother’s/Father’s days. Plus the MLB Game of the Week should not be subject to blackout.

Paxlovid and sleep. If you can’t sleep, then rest, possibly with very trashy tv (nothing that engages the mind with also needs rest.)

I have Cruz and Cornyn to deal with. They are not open to examining their own behavior. Sigh.

Members of congress also swore an oath to the constitution, and you can see how that is going….
That said, I have more faith in the military than in Congress.

Same in Texas. The R legislature can’t stand Austin and is constantly interfering with city business.

5) Practiced self-care in the form of healthy foods, long walks, a good book (new, to me, mystery author), knitting (a gift), and live music, because saving our democracy will require fortitude and perseverance. /done

3) wrote and called my congressmen about the unethical and illegal conflicts of interest for Elon Musk with the tens of billions of dollars in federal contracts to his businesses.
Urged them to honor their oath of office, reclaim the power of the purse, and enforce the ethics laws and rules. 3/5

2) wrote to my congressmen about the reckless, arbitrary, and illegal firing of federal employees by an unelected, unvetted, unconfirmed S. African oligarch.
Reminded them that federal employees work to the people, and urged them to honor Their oath of office and step in to stop this; and … 2/5

How are you doing in your quest to find Republicans who still believe in our democracy? What can we do to help?
I own property in Texas so I am calling Cruz and Cornyn regularly, but they are fully MAGA. My Representative there is Doggett. Can we call committee members out of our districts?

One person they fired was schedule A, cognitive disability, GS2 for 30 hrs/week. They could have saved more money by eliminating one copy machine. And he got a lot more work done than a copy machine. 😡
