The part of me I lost

No shade to Cronenberg at all, but if John Carpenter ever said "He's an *artist* now" about me the way he said it here about David Cronenberg, I think I would crumble to dust.

need like, schuyler bailar and megan rapinoe to get simone biles on the line stat before whatever right wing group that's circling her does

We are starving in Gaza.💔💔 We give up our meals so our children can eat. $60 is no longer enough to buy bread or sugar. A simple meal of lentils and tea is all some families have. Money has lost its meaning , but your compassion hasn’t. Just $10 can feed a soul. Donate now. 🙏 gofund.me/edd687b8

this definitely wasn't influenced by massive public outcry or anything

it's weird that Indivisible isn't hosting something in DC this weekend right?

Excellent @bcmerchant.bsky.social piece on the valiant anti-ICE protesters summoning and burning Waymo’s: “They have turned these indifferent and extractive technologies into instruments of protest. They are weaponizing the accountability sink.”

keep forgetting/remembering about the military parade this weekend and how much that's gonna fuck up getting around

"I personally was pretty surprised, actually, at how efficient the government was," Sahil Lavingia told NPR's Juana Summers. Lavingia was a successful software developer and the /FOUNDER OF GUMROAD/ a platform for online sales, when he joined DOGE in March.

Good morning brothers, I am back again. I started suffering from depression because of the repeated bans. I did not violate the rules of Blue Sky. Anyway, look at the pumpkin, it is growing well. Continue publishing and donating if you can. bit.ly/help-mohamed

I would really like to know what Bluesky's problem is with my friend Mohamed. It's a genuine shame to not be able to see the pictures of his garden anymore. He's not a scary or dangerous man. He's not harming anyone. He is trying to support his family during a genocide. bit.ly/help-mohamed

NEW: Over a thousand people are rallied in Downtown LA in support of SEIU, after SEIU President Pres. David Huerte was arrested days ago after an ICE raid (ABC7) Won't be able to be as active with the updates today, but I'll do my best to provide some

my favorite bubble on bluesky is the science bubble ((:

Law enforcement injure at least 4 journalists covering protests in California amid federal crackdown cpj.org/2025/06/law-...

if seeing a mexican flag in a protest photo is what makes someone embrace ICE and their tactics, i just don't think they were really an "undecided" or an "independent" or even "on the fence."

not loving today's discourse(s), not gonna lie.

I want to report some good news from LA: ICE picked a hotel in Pasadena to be their headquarters for this side of the city. The residents of Pasadena (myself included) would not stand for this and protested all yesterday in front of the hotel until, eventually, the hotel kicked out ICE!!

This is sort of what happened with DOGE. They were convinced there was a mountain of easily-detectable waste and fraud that a handful of folks equipped with "common sense" could root out & eliminate in a manner of weeks. And there wasn't. But they had promised headlines about big cuts...
