It's time to start a new project. I need a much thicker stack of paper in my Photoshop template for manuscripts like this oneπŸ˜…

i cannot express how much indie authors should consider joining itch. the community is growing, the buyers are there and you get income immediately when a book is bought. consider it! setting your books up there is SUPER EASY and tbh really worth it. πŸ“šπŸ’™

I recently had the pleasure of reading two fantastic SFF books that come out soon - check out my thoughts on Parallax and The Malevolent Eight here: youtu.be/E_rvhB1j2JI Anyone looking forward to these? Release dates are 20th May (Parallax) and 22nd May (The Malevolent Eight).

Going to give this one a go after enjoying the opening chapter when I sampled it a while back. Anyone read it? What are your thoughts?

Holiday mode: Off Work mode: On I've been looking forward to this one!

It's wrap-up time! These are my brief thoughts on the books I read in April, including a couple of ARCs and the continuation of some series I'm really enjoying. youtu.be/YjGx-HidssU What were your April highlights?

While I was away, I had some fantastic reading, starting with Parallax by Amber Toro. This was an excellent sequel to Umbra, with a scaled-back narrative that focused on character development and for me worked really well. If you're into scifi, please do check this series out!

I'm back from a few days in Scotland for a family funeral. Beautiful weather while we were there, and although taking photos through dirty windows on a speeding train is not great, some beautiful scenery too.

What books have you got planned in for May? My TBR for the month is here: youtu.be/NlNzy4yF2bs

Okay, so the last audiobook didn't work for me, on to something I know I'll enjoy. Do you have a book, series, or author that's like comfort food you can always rely on when needed?

This fantastic new cover for The Many Shades of Midnight by @cmdebell.bsky.social debuts today. I rather enjoyed this one, and think the new look is awesome. Also check out the matching new cover for the short stories from the same series:

It's been a bit of a tough month here, but today I finished two books, which means I get to start two new ones. I'm going double sci-fi – who has read these, or maybe wants to?

Time for a cover and Kickstarter pre-launch reveal: From @liviajelliot.com comes the novelisation of the interactive story Dance With Me. Check out the campaign page with loads of image previews here: www.kickstarter.com/projects/liv...

It's wrap-up time! How did you do with your March reading? I ended up with more sci-fi than fantasy, somehow, so I need to re-balance that! Check out my review of the month here: youtu.be/Z70CgKeJeak

It's TBR time! Check out my April reading plans here: youtu.be/oop416Xjz6c What are you looking forward to reading this coming month?

Surprise bookmail from Bryan Asher with his new release The Tortured Kingdom! Thank you Bryan! πŸ₯‚

Head's up, people! Today sees the launch of the Kickstarter for @peterjaldin.bsky.social's Last Among Equals. This looks and sounds fab to me, if it does to you too, go and check it out: www.kickstarter.com/projects/pet...

Awesome bookmail from The Land Down Under! Thank you so much @joshuawalkerau.sffinsiders.com for these stunners, plus bookmarks and art cards (and the tea!) πŸ₯‚πŸ€©

Today I unboxed this beauty from @scrimscribes.bsky.social - thank you so much! πŸ₯‚ Mists of Memory is a fantastic book, and looks great sitting alongside Sea of Souls as well! If you haven't picked these up yet, why have you not been listening to me?! πŸ˜…

And that's a wrap! Check out how my February reading went here: youtu.be/BqjseMJLEA8 Did you read anything good last month?

It's a glorious bookmail day today, with two beauties from my good friend Andrei. Thank you so much! πŸ₯‚

So apparently for March I'm reading sequels - check out my TBR for the month here: youtu.be/UrkjlKKYRbY What are you planning to read?

What are the best SFF series you've read? According to my weighted ratings, these are mine: youtu.be/ptd7rzoV2qQ Will anything ever topple the books of The Banished Lands?

I had a pretty good reading month in January, how was yours? I don't usually go for hyperbole, but is it too soon to announce my book of the year? youtu.be/4TuTOiCaWec

Okay, @thatcalamity.bsky.social, you're up!

An incredible first book is now followed by an incredible second book. If you haven't already checked out the Sea of Souls Saga by @scrimscribes.bsky.social, what are you waiting for?

It's bookmail day! Just in time for my February reading, I now have a physical copy of Gatebound, book 3 of the Illborn Saga - thanks DTJ! πŸ₯‚

It's February next week, and here's what I've planned for my TBR: youtu.be/X_OxK7wF3E0 What are you looking forward to reading?

Bookmail! It's taken a while, but I've finally completed my physical Threadlight collection. I love these books and how the regular hardcover is actually a "special".

No disrespect to last year, but I'm only 22% in and I already feel that Mists of Memory would have landed a place in my top ten of 2024 had I read it then. I love this series, and book two just takes me right back to Sea of Souls without hesitation. Bravo @scrimscribes.bsky.social πŸ₯‚

No offence to anyone out there who performs this service for authors, but my alpha reader is cuter than yours!

Today's video is a bookhaul where I show off the SFF titles I've received in the last couple of months. You know what they say - "new year, new books"... well, someone says that, right? youtu.be/zpZWsdgpaMg

Someone got some awesome bookmail today! (It was meπŸ˜€) Thanks so much @timhardieauthor.bsky.social, I'm really looking forward to Sundered Souls and hopefully will be able to get to the other two this year as well. Anyone who hasn't already, check out Hall of Bones, book 1 in this series!

It's time for me to sit down and take you through my top ten favourite SFF books I read in 2024. Which of these take your fancy? youtu.be/JYyw2aymUx8

It's time for me to hold up a stack of books - my top 10 favourite reads of 2024 lands tomorrow. What's going to be on the list? (Tip: The books in the photo are props, only one of them appears in the list itself!)

Time for me to wrap up the last of my 2024 reading: youtu.be/zrXSgYGV7fk It's a good place to throw in some quick stats for the year too, if that floats your boat. How was your December reading?
