A unificação das eleições é uma reforma positiva, tende a fortalecer os partidos: poucos vão pesquisar os candidatos a 7 ou 8 cargos, e acabam usando atalhos informacionais (partidos) para decidirem. O fim da reeleição, por sua vez, encurta o horizonte político dos governantes (muito ruim).

Oh, the Brazilianization of American tariff policy continues! I worked in the Brazilian government body setting tariff rates, and, last I checked, we had 12 different tariff rate instruments, and 41 thousand tariff lines. Some lines had more than 5000 characters describing the product. Good times!
