Since then my feeling has been they never want that to happen again. So the LAPD over corrects, often. It sucks because there should be better crowd control training. The LAPD is just rife with issues and has never been able to get it right.

The LAPD was not prepared and leader less as things escalated quickly (racial tension was at an all time high after the liquor store shooting and acquittal). They ended up retreating and then everything went to shit. For hours there was no police presence what so ever.

Yesterday made me cry. Between the Pope’s word and the overwhelming feeling of support I felt at the protest in my city. I just feel a lot less alone. I truly felt the world was turning against me but now I know it hasn’t.
