This is what Disney should be doing with the Star Wars IP.

A day *at* Uranus? What in the grammar is that?

I'd take it if I were PAID $50,000. That should cover the costs of ripping the battery out and doing an EV conversion on my '97 Defender. Even then I'd be conflicted.

I was SO pumped for S3 and still can't believe how badly they bungled it.

I mostly enjoyed S1 and 2. Lot of big swings that don't land but the ones that do really do. And the S2 finale has some really frustrating parts but also some of the most achingly beautiful cinematography in all of Star Trek. Definition of mixed bag.

Firing still has the stigma of being fired for cause. Layoffs = fired for the whim of upper management. The people being let go are no more at fault than the people displaced by the LA fires. Personally I think the most appropriate term is "fucked over".

The Roman Republic succumbed to the same. Checks and balances and norms and customs cease to matter if they aren't viciously pursued.

The social contract right now is in a quite tattered state. So I don't think he's wrong. I just don't want broligarchs sketching out the updates.

This. They've been "testing the fences" to see what they can get away with and so far it seems to be anything.
