It significantly impacts all elections because we’re disempowered. We know the state’s going red no matter what we do, so many voters just quit voting due to apathy. Sure, gerrymandering doesn’t directly influence the senate race specifically, but it does influence turnout.

Please don’t say this. I’m in Alabama and we’re so gerrymandered that we can hardly win anything. It’s already defeating and then we get online and see that people in other states that have written us off, too. Sure, we could move but then who will fight for those without that privilege?
