Really excited to be part of the new EPSRC HESTIA network, led by @douglasbooker.bsky.social, and what better way to announce it than with a presentation at the UKIEG conference on Clean Air Day!

Air pollution must be recognised as a public health issue. Our report 'A breath of fresh air' highlights evidence on the increased range of health impacts linked to air pollution. The government needs to treat #airpollution as a serious & preventable health risk. 🔗 ow.ly/F3yq50Wc7wr #CleanAirDay

This Clean Air Day, I am delighted to announce a new EPSRC funded network, HESTIA. In HESTIA we are co-developing a health-equity-centred approach to home design & retrofit, integrating existing + emerging building technologies to ⬆️ human & environmental health co-benefits, + ⬇️ health inequalities

Our new report from RCP in Air Quality is out today, on #CleanAirDay. A few thoughts from my perspective on what we show www.rcp.ac.uk/policy-and-c... 1/

Happy #CleanAirDay! When we think about air quality, it's vital to consider the indoor air quality (IAQ) in our homes. IAQ isn’t experienced equally. So, who is exposed to worse IAQ? and why? An environmental justice lens can help us explore this. Read more 👉 doi.org/10.1016/j.bu...

The Labour gov have allowed wood burning stoves to be permitted in new homes as a secondary heating source in the Future Homes and Buildings Standards. As an air quality scientist, this is appalling news. Smoke from stoves is a growing health hazard. But why did the UK gov make this decision? 🧵
